Sorry for the delay folks !

Were over half way now, although it feels like I have been here around 2 – 3 weeks, for some strange reason, time seems to be going very slowly …..

Today is Animal Kingdom, my least favourite Disney Park. There is something about it I just don't like, but it has got better with the introduction of Expedition Everest, and the completion of the ring of path ways round to Dino Land USA .

Again, up and out, another car par, another rope drop, and then straight to Expedition Everest. FP on the way in, and straight to the normal queue. Well I say queue, I just meant, go straight thru and straight on. Brilliant ride, really really brilliant, but do not ride at the front, because it slow over the bumps etc. So we finished, came out and went straight back in. Again, brilliant, loved it.

Came out, and 2 goes was enough for the 2 waiting, a nice queue was starting to form, so I gave away the fast passes to a couple just going to queue. The only problem with no queue is that you miss all the effort the people make to enhance the queuing area, and I would have found all of that information about the Yeti, Everest and the Himalayas totally fascinating.

Now that this ride is complete you can just quickly wander over to Dinosaur, as the complete path circle is now finished.

Dinosaur was next up, not a favourite of mine, but my daughters. We decided to go in again, and its here that we won the Animal Kingdom Year of a Million Dreams Fast Pass for 6 rides in the park. A big cheer went out. This for us was brilliant, I never win anything, but a dream fast pass was just what we needed (or so we thought ....).

After dinosaur, we wandered back over to Africa area, did Kali River Rapids, ate at Piizafari and also went over the Conservation Station, and then back again onto the Safari. This is where we used one of the dream fast passes, but it was not actually worth it, as the fast pass queue was the same length as the normal one. It was the same for a Bugs Life, I remember queuing over 2 hours during one school holiday, to just turn up and walk was incredible. Still a good show and a I always forget about the critters.

Met Pocahontas at AK

So that was Animal Kingdom. Something about it that I just don't like say the Magic Kingdom, but still a good park. After that we went to DTD (again!) and bought some Blu Ray discs, and then it was off to Hooters for dinner. I really did not know what to expect here ....

Anyway the menu looked cheap, we walked in and what can I say it’s different, but not as different as I expected. I did feel out of place, it seemed more for the locals that the tourists, but the people were nice, although not knowing anything I expected them to be in bikinis for some reason, so it was not as I expected. The server lady was very nice (in more than one way!), my wife said, she had never felt so inadequate in her whole life!, but the food was dreadful. Simply dreadful. I admit I ordered the wrong chicken wings, I forget to get the boneless ones, but having said that, I took one look at them and thought my God, even by US standards they look unhealthy. The amount of fat in them, on them and oozing out of them was simply incredible; you could feel the heart attack coming on from just looking at them.

I would not recommend the food, but the kids loved it, they had a T shirt and hat to go!, and the ladies were lovely.

After Hooters, we ambled around the Florida Mall, very large M & M shop, another Abercrombie, and then it was back to POP. Walgreen’s on the way back, 24 bottles of water for $6.00, now that is a bargain.

Back home to POP!

I'm laughing about your reaction to Hooters. Can't wait to see what the other Kevin (Stringer) makes of your restaurant review. If you've read any of his outstanding TRs you'll know that he's a man who can enjoy both Victoria & Albert's and Hooter's--on the same day if he's given the chance! Thanks for the next installment of your series. I understand about keeping the report going--some segments almost write themselves while others seem to take forever just getting started (at least, that was my experience). Thanks for carrying on.

Great day :thumbsup2 .Shame about the food at Hooters-although i am pretty sure people(men)don't go there for the food ;) :rolleyes1  .x.

glad you are back writing your reports. I have never fancied Hooters and still not keen so probably won't go especially after your report!

I have only been to one Hooters and that was in Nottingham, never again. I agree with your wife! Great day though.

BTW you got a different Pocahontas to us! :lmao:

Great report Kevin we was overwhelmed in the M&M shop its huge. When Jonathan joked about going to it as we rode past one he got a quick reaction from me saying get lost and i couldn't believe he suggested it. I was promptly told it was a joke. :rotfl:

Lovely report, I love the Everest ride too.

Great report.....never tried Hooters & probably never will. :lmao:
