Can someone point me in the correct podcast direction where Kevin discussed handicapped seating at the Candlelight processional? We will be there on Christmas night and are doing the dinner package. I know Kevin discussed a problem with the handicapped seating and what to do instead. I will probably be OK to walk short distances by then, but I want to get my ducks in a row just in case. Especially since I've been in bed with my leg elevated for almost a week now.

Thanks!
Kim

If you are using handicapped seating, you can only have two members of your party sit with you.

As my Mom is in a wheelchair, John, my Dad and I can not all sit together.

If you do not require wheelchair seating and are willing to sit elsewhere, there is no issue.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Kevin! That's the info I was looking for. I think I will be mobile enough so that I can park my ECV and walk to a seat, even if I have to use crutches.

Thanks again!
Kim

Does anyone know where you are supposed to park an ECV? My mom should be ok to walk a short distance to a seat and we really don't want to split up our party.

Is it possible to park the ECV at the last minute? My mom would be able to walk the short distance to a seat but she won't be able to stand in a line for 30 minutes waiting to get in though.

What CP show are you going to on Christmas nignt? We are going to the 8:00 p.m. show. We have dinner resies at 5.

My nephew-in-law is in a wheelchair, but he is mobile enough to walk to a seat. There are 12 of us, so we want to sit together, so we will just ask the CM where we should put the wheelchair when we get to the front of the line.

I don't expect a prblem, the CMs are well versed in these things.

Maybe we'll see you there!

That's the show we're going to I think. DH has made all the arrangements, I guess I should double check, eh? I really can't wait for it!!! I'll be the one on the kaht with a boot:rotfl:

We will be the large, loud group with 5 kids ranging in age from 23 mos to 16 yrs.

Can't wait to get to the World.

Hope to see you there!

Kim, if you have a boot and are able to walk, you might want to pahk the kaht and just walk/hobble in (been there with a walking cast, but it was a sure thing for a seat on the bus). When I had a kaht 2 years ago, I just parked and walked in.

How's the leg feeling?

I am feeling great today! I successfully managed the 1 hour drive to pick my kids up from school. (they go to school where I work) I am pain free and my leg didn't swell up like it did on Monday when I tried to drive. Looks like I'm back to work tomorrow (they're getting me a wheel chair to cruise the school in) and on Friday I go for a check up and a new cast. Thanks for asking! I'm pretty sure that by Christmas I'll be in the boot and be fine to hobble around. It's like I have something else to plan now, so I'm spending my time planning around the kaht. I do need help! Oh wait, I seem to remember that you like to plan "a little bit" don't you?:rotfl2:
