We LOVED our dinner at Town Tavern. We tried a little of everything. The out of the park winners were the Lobster Chowder, the Cape Cobb Salad, Onion Rings and Tuna Dip. We had some other things that were also good but those I listed were incredible. The lobster chowder really knocked the socks off everyone. This is definately worth a trip over when in the world. What a charming little town and the fall festival was a blast. Thanks for mentioning it on the podcast. We had a great evening.

I think this thread should be a stickie!:thumbsup2

Thanks for telling me Liz.

We think CTT is a gem.

It's probably the restaurant we visit most often.

We are in WDW right now and will be heading to CTT tomorrow evening for dinner. We have been once before and loved it....at least what I ate of it.

That trip we had some fascinating dinner companions and I was chatting so much I forgot to eat. I ended up not even finishing half of what I ordered because I would look around and everyone would be done there course and I had barely touched mine!!!

This time while I will still have great company (Hi honey, hi Ben!!), I plan on concentraing on my meal!

We also loved CTT. We tried it for the first time last August. Certainly worth a trip offsite, and if anything else, to check out the town of Celebration.

We plan on checking this out when we go in a week. Thanks for the great suggestion guys!

Oh, btw, can anyone give good directions from CSR? I will have a GPS, but I'm better with landmarks. Thanks,

~Abby

I entered the Town Tavern address in my GPS and it took us right there. We parked on a side street without any issue during a festival night. I dont think it will be a problem. The addy is 721 Front street Celebration 34747

There two nice big parking lots tucked in between the buildings in downtown Celebration.

They are a bit hidden but within a block of CTT.

There is no charge for parking in Celebration.

We'll be at CTT tonight, we're within walking distance. I love Celebration!!

I heard that due to guest feedback, Disney will be installing toll booths at all WDW property access points. If you want to use the roads within WDW you will now have to pay.

(note, this is my sad attempt at humor and the way I can see Disney trying to make sure people like you don't leave the property to eat off-site. Shame on you for spending your money outside the bubble!)

I really want to try this some time. We love Celebration, and we try to visit every trip, but we have not eaten at CTT yet. The lobster chowder sounds awesome!

DH and I went in our July trip and LOVED it. We have both Fridays of our upcoming trip saved for CTT so we can get that delicious Lobster Chowder. :) Although I must say we felt a little guilty eating there, we felt like we were intruding in on Kevin and Johns secret place. :lmao: We heard so much about it, so we just had to try it. We went into the city yesturday and had the worst dining experiance ever and we actually thought of how nice it would have been to be at CTT. The service there was like nothing we have ever had before. Our server was fantastic. Thank you so much Kevin for sharing your suggestion about this nice little place. It seemed as though it was somehow an escape away from the hustle and bustle of all the tourists. Although were the tourists. :rotfl2: Great place...can't wait to go back!

I thought about going to CTT last Saturday since we had our car...but, we ate a late lunch at Beaches and Cream (had to get a No Way Jose fix).

Almost every meal/snack...I said to NC B. that Kevin is going to tease me about this if he knew.

KK--- We didn't have time for the T-Rex.....:guilty:

That sounds interesting. What exactly is a No Way Jose if you don't mond me asking? :)

It is no trouble:
2 scoops of Vanilla Ice cream, 1 scoop of chocolate, hot fudge, warm Jif peanut butter (saw the jar on this trip), whipped cream, chocolate and peanut butter, and a cherry...

Does this mean that choosy Belle's (and Beasts) choose JIF?
