Kevin - I met Carrie Fisher once!

While catching up on my podcast listening, the comments on Carrie Fisher from a couple of weeks ago reminded me of an experience I had 10 years back in the Magic Kingdom. I was 17 and working at the Jungle Cruise, and Carrie Fisher was the first celebrity I met as a castmember. She rode my boat and was accompanied by a guest relations v.i.p. guide. I did not recognize her, and after the ride her guide pulled me aside and thanked me, saying it was the first time Carrie laughed that day. When I was told it was Carrie Fisher, I went back and said, "You were in that movie, right? What was it? Oh yeah, Austin Powers!"

I love Carrie Fisher.

I've read most of her stuff. I'm currently reading "Wishful Drinking".

She's partly responsible for one of my favorite movies..."Postcards From the Edge".

She is the only person who could get me out for Sta Wars Weekend....and it has nothing to do with that gold bikini.

I love when she calls some of the Star Wars fans "Her merry band of stalkers" I once saw her at a Star Wars Weekend many years ago.
