i think the best price on the Keurig is at Costco - also comes with alot of coffee!
It comes out to about .50c per cup of coffee - if u are a big coffee drinker it can get expensive...i have 1 cup a day my husband 2!
I have it a few months now and love it.
Still cheaper than hitting Starbucks though!
Our Keurig has a large water reserve. You can get them with no reserve, so you have to add water for each cup, if you aren't a big drinker. there are several types, just look for the one that fits you best.
My husband favors the "dark" coffees, I like mine "medium". We used to argue about making the coffee, now we just buy what we like!
Buy samplers. Read the reviews on Keurig.comThere are several dozen brands, each with different flavors and types of brews.
I've bought them from Keurig.com, and then when I found the ones I liked, I head to
Walmart (6.99-10.99 for 18)to buy them there. I've also seen them at the grocery store and Target, (7.99-12.99 for 18) for slightly more; and at BJs (warehouse store, like costco). I paid $37ish for 80 Kcups at BJs the other day. (I bought my K at BJs also, they are really good about returns.)
Also, we have the insert that allows us to use regular coffee, so if we run out of Kcups, I can grind up some coffee beans and just brew those.
You do have to use filtered/bottled water. Also, when you first get it, if you have one with a reserve, wash the reserve throughly--let it soak in soapy water for several hours. Wash and repeat 2 or 3 times. Finally wash, rinse and then run 4 or so FULL reserves of water through the machine. There is sometimes "production dust" inside the machine, and running water through helps clean it out; and washing the reserve like that removes that "plasticky" taste that happens with the machine sometimes.
