keurig vs tassimo

I believe that is correct.

So which one are you leaning towards. I go back and forth. I like the idea of cappucinos with the tassimo but I love the availability and variety of the kcups with the kuerig. I am very nervous about the platinum/pump problem.

honestly , they both sound great.. i think I will go out and look at the prices then .... anybody know of a great to coming up for these things ?? I have learnt a lot more from this thread .. thanks !

Ok - I used this as an excuse to go to Costco. They have a Kuerig platinum for 139.99 in the store. Comes with everything the QVC machine does except that it has 60 kcups vs QVC's 48 and the bonus 48 mail in offer. QVC offers two additional colors - blue and cinnamon. Costco - only the stainless/black. QVC is also 139.99 plus 14.22 s/h but no sales tax. Costco you pay tax. So for the cost of the s/h offset by the sales tax with QVC you net 36 more kcups and the choice of more colors. With Costco, you get their fantastic return policy. There you go - now we all just need to decide!!

I am still looking , a question for those tassimo lovers..

what is the difference between the T45 and the T65..

i googled both and the specs seems to be the same.. yet the T65 is almost 80.00 more??

I have a tassimo and have had it for years. I really like it and it suits my needs. I wish there were more tea varieties, though.

The T65 has a LCD display. I believe that is the only difference. Both machines have a water filter, and both machines have a 61 oz./1.8L water reservoir.

Down here in the States, there's only a $30 difference between the two. T65 (Premium or Titanium) - $199, T45 (Suprema) - $169.

I have had two different Tassimo machines over the last 5-6 years that get daily use. I replaced the first one, a Braun, with the new Bosch, and my husband took the Braun to work and still uses it daily. I think they are awesome machines, and I got it because I love being able to make lattes, and I love that Tassimo has Starbucks coffee. DH loves the Verona disks for a nice bold coffee.

We too have the Tassimo ... mostly because DH likes his Starbucks. I agree with others who have said the Tassimo could use more variety of t-discs, but if you look on Ebay, you can find sellers in the UK (and Germany, etc) with different varieties of coffee/tea, etc.

We've had ours for about a year with fairly constant use and other than cleaning and replacing the water filter, we've had excellent results with ours.

I do have to comment to those that have said about the latte's with the Tassimo; Keurig doesn't have a built in frother, though they do make one as an accessory, but they do also have some varieties of latte's. For example I am a tea drinker and they have a very nice chai latte which already includes the creamer in it, also a mocha that my dd adores, etc, and I know I saw a vanilla cafe latte at some point too, though no one has tried that one at my house. I love our Keurig, at top temp it is almost 200 degrees ( I think 192) so VERY hot, we've had for over a year (platinum edition) and never had any problems at all.

I have had both..both broke

My Keurig was too old to get the pump replaced, DH has played with it and has gotten it to brew a minimal amount of coffee for now

I am going to buy another Tassimo, love love the latte's and cappuccino's, couldn't find anything in the Keurig line that tasted that great.
