Can someone help me out with the Keurig machine? I'm not sure which one to buy. I can't tell the difference between the different ones. I bought the elite gourmet single cup brewing system for $88 and the my k-cup for $14 on Black Friday. I don't know if this is a good price or if this is the machine I want. I'm not sure what the different ones do. Can someone help?

Sounds like a fine price - they are available around $85 - 90 these days. That's the B40 (Elite) which is the basic machine (it's the same as what we have). There's a mini which (obv) is smaller - doesn't store water, you pour in a cup of water and it makes a cup of coffee. The B40 has a 48 oz reservoir, brews 2 different cup sizes - 8oz and 11 (? 12?) oz. The next step up is the B60 - that brews an additional, smaller cup size, I believe 6 oz. It also has a timer so I guess you can set it at night and it will brew your cup in the morning. Digital clock too, but same 48 oz reservoir.

I believe there are a few even fancier ones out there, one has a larger reservoir - 60 oz, brews 4 different size cups, some brew faster.

I like the B40 (same one you got) because it's really all you need, IMO. I don't see the need for a 6 oz UNLESS you rebrew your k cup as 2 passes of 6 oz coffee - it will change the strength of the coffee slightly. DH and I brew one cup of the larger size, and it's just right for us. I also don't see the need for faster or quieter brewing for the additional cost but that is important to some people.

We don't have the my k cup, but I've heard mixed reviews on it - some people have said it's messy, some have said they can't get the strength right, etc. But many people are pleased with it.
