I got my Keurig for christmas from my parents :yay:
and hubby and I love it so much! After using it for the past
6 weeks or so I realized how expensive it is because between my hubby and I
we drink about 5-6 K-cups a day :scared1:

So I went out and bought the reusable my k-cup filter and some whole coffee beans. I've been grinding my beans and the coffee is delish! A bag of Eight O Clock coffee beans makes 32 k-cups.

Here's the price breakdown for my area.
Bed Bath and Beyond for 18 k-cups $8.00 (w/ 20% off coupon)
so that makes it $0.44

Walmart bag of Eight O'clock whole coffee beans - $4.98
so that makes it $0.15 per k-cup

just wanted to share with you guys. :)

Also don't forget to register your Keurig on keurig.com and they will send you coupon code for buy two boxes get two free

There are also great deals on K-Cups at Amazon.com. You even get an extra 15% off if you do the "Subscribe and Save" deals. I get 50-cup boxes of Coffee People Donut Shop Coffee for $18 a box or .36 a cup. Still not as good as doing your own, but time saving. :)

Amazon sells the plastic covers to reuse your k cup. I like these better than my reusable kcup. I think I got 5 covers. I reuse my kcups once. I can keep up to 5 on my rack. You need to use a bolder coffee though, because otherwise your coffee is too weak. I clean out my used kcup after pealing off the cover, let it dry upside down and then fill with coffee and put plastic cover on it. These are wonderful. I don't know what they cost because I received them as a gift. :O)

I just went on amazon and they are called KAPS for kcups. Currently they are unavailable. There are other filters and cups on amazon but I haven't tried them. Hopefully they will become available shortly because they work great.
