Ketchup on Steak: A Poll

Fess up: how many of you put ketchup on steak?

My thoughts on this:

A-1, but not ketchup. Then again, A-1 is probably just ketchup with added spices.

I wouldn't waste my ketchup on a steak. I do like some spices and some Worchestershire sauce, but ketchup... no thanks. It just doesn't seem to "blend" with steak right.

a good steak doesn't need anything at all... I do work w/a guy that dips steak in ketchup though

I wouldn't get near a steak with a bottle of ketchup - but DD's need dip to eat almost any meat. Hannah ("Ewww, we're having meat again? Why do we have to eat meat every night?") dips hers in ketchup. Emily ("Can I please have some more meat? It's gone? Well then can I have some off your plate?") dips hers in ranch dressing.

isn't there some kind of law against this????? I fixed steaks once for DHs family for christmas dinner and they were really ticked I didn't have any ketchup.

But you didn't put "Don't eat ketchup" as an option so I can't answer.

I grew up with a dad who put ketchup on his ketchup (and my dd does too, it must have skipped a generation ) but I never developed a liking for it.

Okay, I'm the lone doesn't-eat-steak so far. Just can't stand it. Now, my kids have to have ketchup for theirs.
