Kennywood Season Pass

Supposedly, the # of passes sold will be limited.

Im torn on this, we usually go 2 or 3 times a year & try to do phantom fright nights if not doing HHN @ U.

We typically have discounted tix, corporate/school picnics, etc. so we don't really spend even $89 for our standard season visits.

im about an hour via turnpike/parkway or thru wilkinsburg a 1/2 hour (just the idea of driving thru that area @ night is scary indeed, so many shootings, etc.). Add in the Rankin bridge construction that i sat in last year way too many times:headache:(is it done yet?), think im going to pass.

For those out of town people, i cannot imagine where you'd stay? Downtown/Monroeville/Oakland maybe:confused:, even out by the airport safer than the area around kennywood proper. The area has sadly gone downhill, my DS is police officer & I was shocked as to the crime in that area. There is lots of visible security on KW premises, i've never witnessed anything other than peeps being hustled out. There was talk of a hotel w/waterpark @ the park, not sure if new owners picked up on that or not.

FYI, at Pittsburgh Mills (in my backyard lol), they are supposed to build a Great Wolf Lodge:banana:and before that they announced a NASCAR park, ill believe it when i see it.;)

My DH grew up in West Deer and my MIL lives in Russelton - are you near there?

I saw this on the news the other day & was seriously considering it. Right now we've only been going twice a year. I could definately see us going more often if it was already paid for!!! It would be nice to just go for a few hours some afternoon.

Kennywood Day is always a big production for us. We have to get there early & stay until they turn out the lights. I feel like we need to stay all day to get our moneys worth!

I am :thumbsup2

I bought 2 season passes one for me and one for my 7 year old daughter. we live about 30 minutes away from kennywood. i love amusement parks and think this will be a great thing over the summer. we planning all the rides we will ride (this year she will be tall enough to ride most things) i cant wait :):cool1::). they are also offering take a buddy on certain days for season passholders when it is only $10 to bring a friend. we will also take advantage of this. i would love to have a season pass to disney but that is not possible at this time. so kennywood will be our disney world this year. (i know it doesnt compare but you have to make the best of what you have)

I went to Deer Lakes and my mother still lives in Russellton!

We'd love to do a Kennywood DIS meet. We haven't had one around here for several years. The last was at Ross Park Mall.

Ok so it sounds like we have people who would like to do a meet. I am not sure what all goes on at a meet since I have never been to one, but I have been hunted down in the parks. I will look into camp grounds for those who asked. I live in Turtle Creek, so I am can see about lodging on the East Side.

If we get enough people who want to do a dis meet, we can get discount tickets to the park for large groups!

I grew up so close to Kennywood , you could hear the screams from my house. :thumbsup2

I live about 40 minutes away now in Peters Township. We usually go twice a year for the full day, once for the school picnic and another time for my husbands work picnic. Both times the tickets are heavily discounted.

We have season passes to Sandcastle. With those passes we can get in after 5 at a huge discount. We will sometimes go to Sandcastle until 4, change then go to Kennywood for the rest of the night.

I'm from N. Strabane! We are neighbors!

We'll be in Disney the week of Aug 15th. I'm hoping we can make a DIS meet! That would be so much fun!
