Which one is your favorite planning tool and why? AKA, which one gets to take my money :earboy2:

We are booked for a return trip to WDW in August - last time we used TP and found it to be a fantastic tool! But now I'm seeing that KTP is offering many of the same tools we used on TP and now I'm curious as to which one people think is the more useful/better value for the subscription cost? Especially after TP changed their crowd calendar model, I'm wondering if it's worth the subscription (that was one of the big planning tools we used).

I'm not overly concerned about the reservation finder at this point, unless we get to our ADR day and I have trouble getting what I want.

We are big TP fans their calendars are all data driven and their plan generator along with their mobile app is much more reliable than the disney app (TPs app doesnt crash when disney’s does)

TP changed their calendar methodology b/c disney has started short staffing their rides during less crowded times and they define crowds by ride wait times...

We are very satisfied with TP’s product

Yeah I would take TP over MDE any day of the week! I'm new to Kenny the Pirate having apps and subscription tools though, so I'm curious how they compare with TP.

The costs are so low, I pay for both. They both have their strong suits and neither of those cross over to the other.
TP for resort info
Kenny for scheduling
I don't follow crowd calendar advice at all. I find it terribly unreliable

What resort info do you mean? I have a friend who acts as my TA so we don't need TP to communicate resort requests, but is there something else helpful that I'm missing?

Room and resort layouts. Even if I don't use them for room requests I like to use them to see where my room is. And no, you don't have to pay to use that area of the website but I do use it and they did go to the trouble to make it and it only feels right to contribute for using it
And TP does something the other doesn't do at all and that's give an app with wait times. That alone is worth their cost.

Oh I definitely know about that part of the TP subscription. We used TP exculsively for wait times on our last 2 trips.

If KTP doesn't have anything like a lines app, then it definitely makes sense for me to renew with TP. I'll have to look into details about their app before deciding to subscribe to both

I use both. TP for the lines app and KtP for character locator.
It's like $20 total for both, so totally worth it to me!

I subscribe to both.

One thing I love about Kenny's site that I don't think was mentioned is the hints for character interactions....followed some of his suggestions last trip and had some great experiences.

I like both. I love the line feature and wait times for Touringplans. I think the crowd calendar may be more accurate in KTP, but not sure either is really accurate.
They both are so cheap, its easy to do both.
