I can't help but think that he was in Colorado, probably on vaca and the people who suffered because of his, at least negligent laxness (or worse), are having to work instead of enjoying their retirement. Ironic, Huh?

I'm just disappointed he wont be able to spend a long time in jail now.
Lay was awaiting sentencing. You usually aren't asked to start serving a jail term that hasn't yet been handed down. Lay was out on bond until that next step... people of all walks of life get bond.ITA And why wasn't he already in jail? Most people when they are convicted go right to jail. I live in Alabama and the former Gov. was just found guilty of a bunch of suff and he doesn't have to go to jail while he is appealing the conviction. I think he should be in jail, and he can do his appeals from there. Different rules for the rich and powerful.
