Has anyone taken advantage of the dog kennels? I read there was one at EPCOT and our home resort is BWV so we would be close to Epcot (even though I am sure the kennel is at the main entrance). More than likely we would never use the kennel but I was wondering if any one had any experience??

We used the kennels at the various parks several times when we combined WDW trips with dog show trips. They were very nice and the animals were well taken care of, but you had to excersise them yourself. We have not used them since they were outsourced.

If they are staying the night, and since you need to walk them yourself, it is very important that your hotel is close to the kennel. It's a lot of running back and forth..........;)

I don't believe you have to excersise them yourselves anymore. I think the new management runs it more like a real boarding kennel, but I have no first hand experience since this took place.

I was looking into it and went to the website for the company that now runs it. They run I think 4 kennels for WDW 2 are full service so you don't have to walk or feed them and two are less than full service I can't remember what wasn't included but if I was going to use them I would make sure to use the full service one.

I believe only the full service ones allow overnight boarding anyway.

go look on the resort board- bad reviews - some of the worst reviews.

no one is happy with the WDW kennels anymore - Disney has had all of complaints.

these are NOT disney cm - and they just don't care.

would either find a pet sitter - make sure you meet her/him before you leave your animal with them. some people shouldn't be pet sitter (my opinion)

or go with

it use to get pretty wonderful reviews. my problem it closed at 5pm - cats like (love) to walk at night - not during the day. So spicey stayed at WDW kennels.

so sad that option is now gone.
