Kennel near OKW?

Anyone know of a great kennel for a dog near OKW? Looking for somewhere close to resort (well reasonably close at least). Thanks!

Best Friends Pet Care operates a kennel on Disney Property not far from OKW. This location replaced the Disney kennels that were located at the theme parks. Best Friends Pet Care also offers discounts for AP Holders & DVC Members.

Best friends is great. You can visit anytime the parks are open, and they do a great job with the animals. We have used them 3 times now with no problems. It is a well run business.

Best Friends is located on Bonnet Creek Parkway right across the street from Port Orleans FQ and POR. You'd need to drive there from OKW.

We were going to bring our dog to best friends until we found happy paws. We could be more happy with them! Every time we called we got a full report, from his behavior to what he enjoyed, how now he was eating and using the potty. I appreciate the attention and really felt like the employees enjoyed working with pets which is very important to me! It's a little more affordable then best friends but the facility certainly compares!

really miss the ones near the park - could go visit at anytime - including when the parks were close - and best yet you could check out anytime YOU wanted too.

really doubt you can now.

with offsite you really can't.

have a problem with the sun - so many times left at midnight to go home and still do.

The Best Friends Pet Care location opens 1 hour before the first theme park opens, and stays open until 1 hour after the last theme park has closed for the day.

While those are the normal operating hours there is someone there 24/7 and you can check out at any time. We picked up our dog at 5am on our departure day with no issues. You simply ring the doorbell and someone comes to help you.

Can someone clarify for me the pricing at Best Friends?

It seems that you pay for boarding AND for play? That seems terribly expensive. The more expensive ones like villas I think come with playtime. But if you get a basic suite for like $42 do you not get any playtime? Are they just shut in there 24/7? I would appreciate if someone could clarify this for me as we'd like to use them but many of the other kennels I've looked up have one price that includes many hours of play with boarding.
