Kennel at Fort Wilderness?

Hi

I just booked our trail ride at Fort Wilderness and the CM said we had to go to the kennel at to view a safety video first, and then we can go to the stables. I asked where the kennel was and she said she didn't know, and she couldn't find it on the map. I asked her if she knew how far the kennel was from the stable and she didn't know that either. She said to just allow lots of time so we could find our way without being late.

Can anyone give me any info on where the kennel is? We've never been to this resort or area before.

If I remember right the kennel is at the next to the stables area and the stables are a short walk away. This must be something new as we have done the trailride before and there was no video.

The kennels are in the outpost area by the overflow parking lot. Go past the outpost entrance where the guard shack is and go in the second entrance to the parking lot designated for the hoop de doo. Kennel is a brown single story building right next to an open meadow. The stables for the trail ride are directly behind the kennels - you will see the stables, corrals and horses.

Can you tell me how much the trail ride is? Not that I will do it in July, but you never no if we get a cooler day. My daughter is a huge fan of horses. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge Resort but could pop over to the cabins for a trail ride. I can't find any info. on it though.

The online info said it was $32 but she quoted me $42 on the phone. In fact, I've decided to call her back tomorrow to doublecheck because I'm thinking that I may have heard her wrong. If you google horsebackriding at Disneyworld, info will come up.
