Can anyone out there tell me anything at all about KSC...What to do when I get there, I have children, and I wondered also how long does it take to go through it?
Are there certain things to see and do that are better or more important than others?

Any help, advice or suggestions please!

Thank You

You can also find KSC info at www.orlandotripplanner.com

I enjoyed KSC. We spent a full day there - there is a lot to do and they have more now geared towards children. I highly recommend the lunch with an Astronaut - nice lunch plus a talk by an astronaut and time for questions, photos and autographs.

I visited the KSC website last week and they have a new attraction I thinks it $225 each but u basically can train as an astronaunt for the day and fly the actual simulator we are going in march just me and son a guy thing and we are doing an airboat ride beforehand then the tour :jester:

It's 10 years since I have been to the Kennedy Space Centre - but definitely taking the kids on the next trip. What's new?:D

Don't think they have added much recently. It would have been on the news.

i loved Kennedy space centre and will be doing it again in April. it took us a full day but we are pretty slow walkers and like to look at everything. but it is on my must to do list with disney and universal. I think kids would like it too but im not 100%

Who's seen one take off? We missed it by a day.....but would love to see it for myself. I regularly visit the NASA website - it's very interesting reading all the updates.

My son and I have been several times over the last 12 years. WE finally saw a shuttle launch two years ago. For us it was a great moment as we are both big scifi fans and space addicts. We had to go back two times due to weather delays but it was well worth it. I am 50 and I will always regret never seeing an Apollo launch- now that would have been awesome.

We went there last Sunday - it was also the 1st anniversary of the Columbia tragedy so extra people and press were on hand. It was an amazing place. We paid "extra" and did the NASA UP CLOSE tour and that was worth it - the only thing that was a disappointment was the walk-through of the Shuttle - I expected more. The kids (8, 6, and 4) liked it pretty well, too. We could have used more time - we were there 9 am to 4 pm and were too tired to visit the Astronaut Hall of Fame building.

Hi,
I plan to take my kiddos in June to the Kennedy Space Center. When you go to the website, it looks like admission is $35 for adults and $25 for kids. All of the travel books I look at have the price at somewhere around $26 for adults. Have the prices increased significantly? We go to NASA in Houston and I always seem to find a discount coupon somewhere... I was just wondering if you all have any ideas...

Thanks

There are different types of admission - that is why the prices differ. You can purchase regular admission through AAA or some of the ticket outlets for $3 to $4 less than KSC charges. However, if you want a special tour, like UP CLOSE, it worked out equal or within a dollar to buy it right from KSC. When we went in February there were no discounts at the gate - no AAA discount or Magicard or anything - just their posted prices. You can always call them for admission prices - they were helpful to us.
