Hello all!

I was wondering if any of you did the Kennedy Space Center day trip with allorlandotours.com?

We are planing a day trip there, but we do not have a car. We were looking into those day tours and were wondering if it's worth it? And how about the Kennedy Space Center, is it worth spending a day there?

We are really struggling with spending money on a day there, so your input would be welcomed!

Thanks!

We're going there on the Friday before our cruise. I remember it from 30+ years ago before the first shuttle launch. They were preparing the public for the 'future in space' with the shuttle. Had some really interesting things for a boy who later studied to be an engineer.
That's the reason we're going, for our DS9 who is very inquisitive about machines etc.
I'm sure things have changed in 30 years, but I think it would be good value. Remember that the Kennedy Space Center does not stay open too late.

We did a day trip (drove) a few years ago. I could have spent the day seeing everything (I'm a space nut) but the rest of the family got bored pretty quickly. Also with both the ISS construction and the space shuttle program winding down this year, there may be a lot less to see there than in past.

I'm with ccudmore on this. We went for a day trip but drove ourselves. I loved it but my wife was bored to tears. We took the bus tour there that was focused on the history of the place. I found it fascinating how all those years ago they put a man in space with computers that took up whole rooms and have the internal power of an I-Phone of today. Standing under one of the only Saturn 5's left at the end of the tour was just incredible.
