How long does it take to see everything, or at least the most interesting parts (not counting travel time)? Are discounts available anywhere? Is it worth going to see?

Thanks!

im not sure if its worth the trip to see it, but i rented my car through alamo, and they have a voucher on the internet site to get two free tickets in to tour the place. its worth 50.00. and we got a good deal on renting a suv for about 450.00 for nine days. (thats including all the taxes) :D

it probably takes at least a half a day to see the best parts. this includes you having to purchase a maximum access badge to be able to take the bus tours that include the apollo mission exhibits. if you enjoy the history of the space program it would probably be a worth while trip. on a side note, we ate a meal in titusville at a restaurant called "dixie crossroads". since the eating experiences seem to be a big part of the wdw/orlando vacation, this place was easily the best place we dined for the entire trip. if you like seafood it is really good.

The KSC has changed within the last few years. We went 15 years ago and it was a short day. But we reurned this year and we were very glad we did. We spent the whole day there. It closed around 6PM, so you have time for a nice dinner or walk on the beaches nearby afterwards. We picked a rainy day so we didn't mind being indoors. The busses take you to various areas and the wait for them should be included in your allotted time. We did not buy the extra "restricted access" tour and I don't think we could have seen all we did and also that tour. The 3-D Imax movie is worth seeing, but the other one is very old and I have seen it numerous times at other places over the years. Don't miss it if you've never seen it. Arriving for a seat early for the movies also adds to the time allotted. It's well worth the time-probably better for older children (3rd grade and up) though-just a little teacher advice.

I found a lot of info at www.orlandotripplanner.com on Kennedy Space Center. The Orlando Magic card offers something like 2.50 off per ticket. and the card is free and available throught the Convention and Visitors bureau. It is a whole days worth of time to go and see everything and I agree, it's for older kids (preschoolers would think the place is a real snooze) Have a good time.

It took us 5 hours just to do the bus tour, and that was without getting off at the last stop (space station center). This made it a bit of rush at the end of the day to see the other things we wanted to see.

Allow a whole day for it - get there early and if you do find that you have seen all you want by mid-afternoon, then you have some time to go and do something else.
