Kennedy Space Center--Anyone use Viator tours?

I see that Viator offers a tour from Orlando to the Kennedy Space Center. I'm trying to decide if that is a better option for visiting the KSD than renting a car for one day and driving there myself. Is anyone familiar with Viator? Is it reputable? Do you know of any other tours that have pick ups in Orlando?

The Viator tour has a pick up at one of the All Star resorts. We are staying at Coronado Springs. How difficult would it be to get from our resort to All Star at 7:00 am? It is a Sunday morning in May. Will busses likely be running at that time?

You'd have to take a taxi to all stars. Viator might make sense if only one person will be going to KSC or if you're under 25. Otherwise rent a car.

I would rent a car so you are not locked in to when you have to go and return. There is a lot to see at Kennedy -- but everyone has their own pace and you may be ready to leave before the bus. Or you may want to stay beyond the bus. Or you may want to stop along the way and see some other things.

I would also vote for renting a car. When you get to the Center, make sure to go on their bus tour of the site. It is incredible and well worth the time. I think the last stop is the Apollo Saturn V Center and it's fascinating. The KSC Tour is included with your admission and is the highlight. In fact, if I hadn't done it, I would have been disappointed with only the IMAX and the kid-inspired games and labs near the front gate. The tour makes the visit IMHO. ps keep an eye open for the gators in the ditches along the bus route.

Thank you. You have convinced me. I rented the car last night. We are SO excited to see the Kennedy Space Center. In fact it is the main reason we are going to Florida. Disney is just the add-on trip.

I agree to rent a car. We went in Feb arrived at opening and left at closing. We loved it. If you have a car you could drive to the beach after for the evening. Or if you like seafood eat at DixieCrossroads in Titusville on your way back.

Absolutely great ideas. You are very close to Cocoa Beach and the public beach there. It is beautiful but often windy. Also close to the big Ron Jon's surf shop. Plus, Dixie Crossroads Restaurant in Titusville is great & well known for seafood (esp shrimp) in the area.
