Keeping the cost down...

Commit to eating every breakfast in your DVC room. Order all groceries as previous poster advised, including loads of snacks to pack for the parks. It gets very tempting to just say yes to snack for a hungry teen/ kid in the park . Getting a treat one day may be nice, but doing it every day will really drive up the cost. Not many people want to cook on vacation, but if you can commit to breakfast every morning in the room, plus making sandwiches or similar for one other meal a day that will do wonders for the food budget! Maybe alternate every other day then between a TS and QS restaurant for the one meal your family does eat out. You are at Disney, your family will have an amazing time either way.

Since we are doing a split stay, we are thinking of doing the DDP for the first three nights when we have a studio. That will give us the option to do a few of the more expensive dinners we enjoy- like Boma, which is our favorite. We figure it will also get us the mugs, which we know we want, and loads of great snack choices. We figure we can easily spread this out to cover four days. Then we switch to a one bedroom for four nights and we can be more frugal! Still running the numbers, though~and planning our daily schedule. We're not going to get park hoppers, which we usually do- that will save a lot but its making planning a little tougher...thanks so much for all of the great ideas- keep them coming!
