Keeping An Eye Open For September /October 2010 Code Watch

I am interested in taking the family to Disney September 22 - October 4 2010. I am hoping for Free Dining during this time but I would also like to see if there is a code that might be available for the room during this time that would be a better deal while paying OOP for the DDP.

I keep watching for these pin things that everyone is talking about, no idea in which email to look in (I get a Disney insider, is that what they come in sometimes?), do they even offer them for Canada? lol, I have no clue!

I wish I knew how I could get on the list to get pins and codes from Disney... I order the planning video every single year.

Is there somewhere I am not looking

I have been to Disney for times that I can count and have received a pin maybe once and I couldn't use it. We already booked bounceback free dining for Sept 4-10, 2010 but here's hoping I get a pin that could save me more!

I don't know if this will help, but it's worth trying.... if you go out to disneyworld.com and register, then everytime you go into their website, log in. At the bottom of the opening webpage, you'll see where you can sign up for emails...do that....then (and make sure you're logged in) go through pricing out your vacation. At the end you can then choose to book it or save it for later. I always save the offer for later. A box will pop up asking "why you're not booking your vacation now". I always enter that I'm waiting for a better deal. ( and in the explanation box I put that we're planning a Sept 2010 vacation and I'm waiting to see what offers come out for that time). Then I went out to "create your customized park maps".... (again, make sure you're logged in). Go through all that and then order your maps. ( you can order maps every 6 months). I did all that in like a two week period and now almost every morning I have an email from Disney Destinations with a vacation offer pin. ( so far the pin offers have been through the rest of this year, but I did get one through March of next year).

SO I don't know if signing up for just about everything on Disney's website worked or what, but all I know is that so far I'm getting good emails from them. But always remember to log into Disney's vacation website before you do anything just in case !! I'm hoping for some pixie dust for Sept 2010 !!!

Going to book trip and save for later...then order some maps for the kids to look at. Then I'm requesting the DVD planning guide too....

That's right. I've only been able to mooch off of someone else's pin once. That was because we were all booked as a grand gathering with my family- my dad got the pin and asked if he could upgrade the whole group and they let him. It was awesome!!

Also, try to go out to Disney's website and log in one or two times a month and just kind of navigate around getting prices. If you save a trip, you'll see that the saved trip will expire in like a month ( I think). So I kind of go out once a month and price out a trip and save it. ( I know, out loud that sounds like a crazed Disney fan ) But in any event, I'm going to keep doing it until hopefully something comes for September ! Good luck to everyone!!

I just booked for Sept.7th-14th and would love to get a pin. I got one last year, but it was for the same deal I had already booked. I was on the site a ton, so maybe that is the key to getting a pin. I hope they send one out soon!
