DD 18 months doesn't like to sit still or be held for very long. How have your young toddlers done on rides that just have a lapbar (i.e., not enough to restrain her like her carseat) or shows with no restraint at all?

Our last trip was when he was 18mths and though keeping him in the ride until it started was a challenge, once it started moving he was fine and entertained. Shows were another story.... Much more challenging. We didn't go to many that he couldn't stay in his stroller for the show (Spectro, Parades, etc). The problem is the wait for the show to start. Playhouse Disney was probably the easiest because he could run and jump around. Lion King was the worst because it took so long for the show to start and they won't let you walk around.

My advice you can always leave if its too much just give it a try and see if it works.

On the rides - hold on tight. One adult should handle the bags or other loose items while one adult takes responsibility for the child without having to worry about other things. Mine was always enthralled with the ride and not too fidgety but Peter Pan always makes me just a little nervous because they could fall.

I don't plan very many shows, usually just one a day, maybe two a day but those would be spread out. And those I will try to get seats with an "escape" route if DD gets too fidgety, fussy, or whatever. Even though out group includes 3 generations, I pick the show that most appeals to the toddler.
