Keeping a deep freezer outside

This is probably not a problem where you live, but where I live there was a man who came home from a vacation and thought his house had been broken into. Turns out that a bear had gotten on his porch and got into the freezer.

OMG! :lmao: Definitely not a problem here!!! How wild.

Sounds like a good place to put the freezer to me! Buy a few pots and put flowers in them for the old ladies to look at, and they won't notice the freezer.

It sounds like your patio is actually a room. If someone came snooping and looking in my windows (house) I would be calling the police. Actually wouldn't think anyone is allowed to do this. If fact, the *one and only* time we found ourselves in a HOA situation, the *busybodies* weren't allowed on your property, just *eye ball* from the street with their little pads and pencils! Nobody would be allowed to snoop in my windows :scared: *peeping toms, or peeping tommies*

I also wouldn't advise them of my purchase either - none of their business!

When I first got married back in 1972 we lived in a mobile home. We bought an upright freezer and the only place we had to put it was in a 8X10 uninsulated metal shed outside. The temperatures ranged from over 100 in the shed to -35 degrees in the winter. That was it's home for three years. Flash ahead 29 years and it was still working like new and never in all those years had any repairs, none. I guess it doesn't hurt them much. An open space with ventilation shouldn't be a problem at all.

We live in So. Fla as well. My inlaws kept a freezer in their garage year round. Never had a problem.
