Keep trying for cancellations! It pays off!

I was kicking myself for all the time I've been spending in the last 3 days trying to get ADRs for our last-minute trip. I really wanted to do a character meal with my kids and Play-N-Dine was the only one I had been able to get, which I wasn't too thrilled with. I started searching 1900 Park Fare, after seeing decent reviews on the Restaurant thread, and lo and behold! I put in for 1900 PF for 6:00 and CHEF MICKEY'S at 4:30 came up as an alternative! Which was what I really wanted - my youngest is a HUGE Mickey fan. I snagged it! WOOHOO!

Now, thinking I may dump the Play-N-Dine if I can get something better, LOL.

Oh, and the 4:30 time really surprised me; I thought CM didn't open until 5:00. Whatever, I'm not complaining!

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been trying like mad to get WCC on 12/6 and I have not seen anything. I would not have thought my time for this particular location would have been popular, but no luck!

I will take your advice and keep giving it a go. I think I am going to crash the WDW website trying to find a reservation!

Glad you got what you wanted!! I am still trying for some, and not having luck yet. I guess I will keep at it! We arrive Dec 14th. And just booked our trip last week. At least I have something for every day.

I have to say that Disney has not made it easy to find the page to cancel the reservations.

I finally have the page bookmarked, but even then it requires me to bring it up, log in the first time and then click on the bookmark again to get to it.

Some times during busier times they will open up more time slots and even open earlier than normal. It is great when you luck into one of those time slots that may have just opened up. Congrats!

Thanks for the encouragement! We have the ADRs we wanted in the beginning but a few days later wanted to go at different times. No luck so far, but I keep trying.

An update: I've been trying to get 50's Prime Time or Sci-Fi instead of H&V. I just got 50's PTC !

I think I can stop messing with them now! Finally happy!

To add to the encouragement for others...I have been trying for weeks to get a decent time for dinner at Cape May. (our trip is 12/9-12/16). FINALLY today I got a 5:45 pm for the 11th! Yeah!

I on the other hand have been getting more and more annoye that I can NOT get 1900 park fare for dinner..GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I am a slave to the same computer anymore.

YES! Keep trying. We were wanting Le Cellier but nothing was coming up. I tried for 3 weeks and one morning we got one ---it's 4:30 for dinner, but we'll take it.

Thats great im glad you got it. I too had Chef Mickeys (had a good time but day wasnt the best for me), i tried for two months and finally 6 days before our arrival CM popped up for 5:00 for our arrival day, i was so happy. You do have to keep trying to get what you want. Eventually it is going to pop up, when you just dont know, so try constantly throughout the day.

Okay, so I figured I would come back and give and update on my never ending search for 1900 park fare for dinner( I really wanted CRT, but figured that would be a lost cause and just went full speed ahead on 1900 for dinner).

While I still haven't gotten that ressie(1900) I was able to snag CRT for my DD that I think she will LOVE more than 1900 just because its in the castle(I don't care about food selections an stuff like that). So, all in all like other say keep trying it does pay off. Like me you may even end with something better than what you had even been planning on.


Though I'm not giving up on 1900..LOL
