Keep those Mickey head ice creams from falling!

We just grab a couple of cup lids from drink stations and put the ice cream stick in the spot where the straw normally goes.

It stops the majority of the drips.

I don't know about packing the dripsticks and dragging them along to the parks with us, but they are awesome! We have been using them at our house for over a year now and they are fantastic at keeping the popsicles from dripping all over DD's hands, arms and shirt. Great invention!!! Just a warning though, when the little one turns the popsicle sideways to try to get that last couple of bites, we still can wind up with chunks of popsicle falling on the carpet. Gasleepingbeautyfan what a great idea! I would have never thought of that.

I think they will be good for DS2 who doesn't have the fine motor skills perfected to hold a popsicle stick. :-)

Never would have thought of using the cup lids. Great Idea!! This will be useful for out four year old.

Those look like they would be great for at home.

LOVE the drink lid idea for in the park.

Ummmm... then what excuse would I have??
"Uh oh, Buddy, your Mickey ear is dripping, let Mommy get that for you..."
"Ohh, that big chunk of chocolate is gonna fall, can I help you with that?"
mmmmmmmm :lmao:

I just saw these in WalMart tonight! On of my 8 year olds thought it was cool. I said, "I'll bet a smart mom who invented that!"

Very neat.

I second the drink lid!! I read that on the DIS before our first trip, and it worked wonders! Much more convenient than carrying that plastic barbell. :lmao: Besides, you'd have to take a minute to rinse and dry before putting those back in your bag. Just toss the drink lid with the stick. Now, on the cones, ya just gotta help the kiddos eat those before they melt. ;)

I totally hear you on the space issue but my reasoning was more for the stick-holding issue. I have a ton of plastic ziploc bags with me so I'll toss it in the bag and wash it later at the hotel. Also, I would love to not throw away any more plastic than I absolutely have to.

(Says the girl bringing take'n'toss sippy cups)

Does the plastic dumbbell actually grip the popsicle stick so if it is tilted a little too far the entire popsicle doesn't fall out and onto the floor?

(from a much earlier, pre-MK, lifetime)
We were at a parade; my mother made me wrap the lollipop stick in kleenex. I tilted my hand and the lollipop fell out onto the street.

The Wal-Mart I work at carries these. At our store they are at the end of the ice-cream freezer section!:thumbsup2
