Please help me!! I am almost 2 weeks away from our trip and I am freaking out. Well maybe not freaking just hyperventilating... Anyway when I planned this trip we decided to do 1 signature dining and picked Narcoosees. Now all I see and hear is that it is not that good, not worth it, blah blah blah...

So with my short amount of time and since this is the 1st dinner planned on our trip is it..

A - Worth it to try and change this to something else,

B - What should I change it to,

and

C - Is there even enough time to do this so late in the game!

Also FYI - We are 6 people in our group 3 adults and 3 kids 14, 11 and 8!

Please let me know what to do... Thanks!

I have eaten at Narcoosees twice, the last time in January and liked it very much! It is high on our list of signature restaurants and we have eaten at most of them. I have also ordered the surf and turf both times and thought it was very good as well as the service. I would just relax and keep the reservation. Keep in mind that a person can have a bad experience at ANY restaurant.

I am not a fan of Narcoosees (I love good fish and much prefer bluezoo). However, I've been going to WDW a long time and compare the Narcoosees of today to what it was 10 years ago. Also, we are an adult only party and prefer to dine at less family friendly places that are quieter.

However, I wouldn't be hyperventilating and wanting to change at 2 weeks out. Narcoosees is a nice, casual place. Your daughters will enjoy the views. You may very well love the food and be one of many on here who claim that Narcoosees is their favorite. Three weeks from now you may be posting and raving over the almond crusted cheesecake that so many people claim is the best dessert at WDW.

As many people who dislike it, there are equal numbers who love it.

To me, Narcoossee's is currently my fourth favorite signature (behind Artist Point, California Grill, and Jiko), and I've been to all of them several times (and I've been to them all at least once since January). The views of the lagoon are great, and there are some very good dishes on the menu such as the crab-crusted flounder (and many people rave about the calamari, crab cake, and almond crusted cheesecake).

My advice would be to not order the surf n' turf. Even though it's the most expensive entree (making it the best value on the DDP), I did not really enjoy the dish and never hear good things about it. I don't think it's worth $59 or 2 credits, but there are other good items on the menu.

We had dinner at Narcoossee's last December and it was one of the best meals of our trip. The food was excellent (calamari and crab cake appetizers, moist and tender Maine lobster, perfectly grilled filet entrees and a delicious mousse dessert.)

We were able to see Wishes and the Electric Water Pageant from our table. They dim the lights and pipe in the music for Wishes.

Thanks for all your responses!! :thumbsup2 This makes me feel better... I know you can get a bad meal anywhere and restaurants are always going to have an "off" day, plus everyone's taste is different... So I guess I will stick with the plan and hope for the best!! A bad meal in Disney is still better than a good meal at home - lol!!:rotfl:

I've been and my DH and I really enjoy meals we've had there.

If you have never been - I say go ahead and go and make your own judgments. Different people have different tastes and maybe you will like something they don't.

Enjoy and have fun on your trip!
