Keep my mouth shut or pay?

When I decided to join my brother and his family at POR, I called to see if there would be any extra charge. He asked how many people total would be in the room and I said 4. He said "Enjoy your stay!"

This was back in Oct. 2002.

Fire laws are the reason for knowing how many are in a room. God fobid there is ever a fire, but the firemen need a head count for the hotel to try to make sure they get everyone out or to identify any that don't.:(

Not following your comment: "CM's should be more understanding." They are understanding. They told us what I believe to be the truth -- if you can avoid being where the PW group is, do it.

Let me clarify. What I mean is how come they couldn't do anything to help the situation. All they said was don't be where the PW group is. That's it. What if you didn't know the group was there until you arrived. They should be able to make your stay as pleasent as possible. They could have talked to the chaperones or something.

Good point..;)

You're right, of course. Problem is you have to find out yourself what groups are at AS & when. It's not easily done. Here's what we know: PW is going to be there Dec 5 or 6 for a number of days -- that means they'll be arriving over the weekend Dec 3-4. Cheerleaders & Dance (apparently the "younger" groups) will be at AS at the same time. We're not certain if we have that one nailed yet as the cheerleaders & dancers are usually at AS in January for a couple of weeks (one group following the other). Maybe someone out there knows if there is a "young group" and an "older group." High School "senior nights" are around HS graduation time & HQ at AS. July is South American students. We suggest you chat with the CMs at AS when you're there for the low-down on all of these "groups." WDW reservation folks volunteer -0-. We had one chaperone from the January cheerleaders say to us: "We feel sorry for any families who are staying here."

UCA/UDA Cheerleading dates are as following:

College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship
January 14 - 17, 2005

National Dance Team Championship
February 4 - 8, 2005

National High School Cheerleading Championship
February 11 - 15, 2005

National All Star Cheerleading Championship
March 11-15, 2005

That I understand perfectly...however, does anyone know WHY they charge for an extra adult in the room? Is there even a *real* reason besides to just make more money? Why should it cost more to have three adults in a room than two adults and two children? Just curious. ;)

Thanks John Dobbertin and spooers 23 for those dates. Looks like my family and I will be right in the thick of things. Our dates are Dec. 5-12, but we will have fun anyway. Can't wait to be back in the house of Mouse!:teeth:

Question: We did hear of a cheerleading/dance group at AS first week of December. Just a rumor?

Oh I forgot to tell you. I went to the official Pop Warner website and they will be there from Dec. 5 to the 13 I believe. Got the info from Deb Wills site.
