We currently have 3 rooms booked for 3 families at All Star Music for Thanksgiving week. We are going to have to push our trip back to March 2021. One family that is going has 5 people but one of the kids was gonna stay with the other family in the 3rd room. The 3rd family in the 3rd room isn’t gonna be able to go now.
So right now we are debating on if we should keep the 3rd room and spread the kids out among that room? We were considering splitting the cost of the room at Music half, which would add an extra $600 or so I believe to our cost.

If we should upgrade to a moderate that sleeps 5? We are looking at Caribbean. Possibly consider Port Orleans Riverside.

I know it depends on when you go that will determine rates but is it more costly to upgrade to a moderate that sleeps 5 compared to paying for our room then splitting the cost of the 3rd?

I would honestly go with Port Orleans that sleeps five. You have no guarantee the rooms will be close together and I would rather have everyone in the same room than have people spread all throughout. The reason I said Port Orleans is I just adore that resort and would stay there every day.

We've stayed at All Star Music and at Caribbean Beach. The pool at Caribbean Beach was a real hit. If it was us, we'd go for two rooms at Caribbean Beach over three at All Star Music. If you did choose ASM, there's also the option of the suite at All Star Music for the larger family.

As for rates, you can check that out on Mousesavers. It'll tell you the rate at each specific hotel during the specific dates. I am not sure what the cost difference would be.

How old are the kids? Connecting rooms are not guaranteed, so you could end up spread out; I’d only keep the 3 rooms if willing to split up. So if it’s young kids, i’d switch to a room with a 5th sleeper. If it’s 3 teens, i’d probably stick with 3 value rooms.
