Kazaa with Wine

ok....i want to download Kazaa Lite...but it says something about kazaa is only on windows with wine...what does that mean? also what other sites are good for music and movie downloads? preferably ones without spyware.

I haven't downloaded from them in some time, so I can not vouch for their current performance, but I always liked Audio Galaxy. I used to download from Song Spy a lot too. I loved the funny names they gave you based on your points from downloading and sharing!!

WinMX is pretty cool. Limewire for the Mac doesn't have spyware to my knowledge.

You can download the regular Kazaa and then get rid of the spyware with Ad Aware by lavasoft.

We have kAzaA lite and run Adaware too. So far, so good.

DH runs the app in Ad adware about 1x a week, just to double check.

If you got to www.lavasoft.com there is a link down by the bottom of the homepage that will get you to Adaware. It's free, it's easy, and it works.
