Sunday 27th October 2002 Day Four
After a late night we had a lie-in and set off for MGM by boat at about 9.30am. We headed straight for RNR Coaster (I had forgotten it was so good) and then on to Tower of Terror. Breakfast this morning was at Hollywood and Vine see we got all the big rides out of the way first. I love the character breakfasts we eat loads to last us all day. We messed about with Goofy and Chip.
After this we headed for the Great Movie Ride then 100 years where a little boy adopted DH. The boys dad must have moved so the nearest adult was DH, This little boy just grabbed hold of his hand but was watching a screen so didnt notice it wasnt his dad. DH didnt know what to do so he tried to walk away but the little boy wouldnt let go. He then let go of his hand and walked off to watch something else. Sound Dangerous was up next, DH enjoyed this I wasnt too fussed. We got the boat back to the Boardwalk to rest up before we hit MNSSHP.
We got the bus at about 5.30pm on out bus was a little girl dressed as Belle and her had dressed as the Beast, they looked great. We headed straight to the Annual Pass holders Pumpkin Patch and picked up our free soda and our trick or treat goodies. We got popcorn, candy and a red apple (from the witch from Snow White. There were a couple of characters here Frollo, Wolf and The witch from Snow White. We headed out to Fantasyland and rode Snow White, Peter Pan and Dumbo with little or no wait. We also did lots of trick or treating too. I was looking in a shop and a queue formed, well I joined it not sure at this time what the line was for, it had to be good people were getting excited. DH came back from a Bathroom visit and said what are you queuing for, he just laughed at me when I said I didnt know. Well it turned out to be for the MNSSHP pins good job I was in the queue.
We saw the parade, no change really from the one in 2000, which was a little disappointing and watched the fireworks. We headed off for Splash Mountain not my favourite ride, I fell I need to be strapped in on log flumes. We got absolutely soaked and went on to do Big Thunder Mountain with no wait. Before we left I got my picture taken at the entrance with Tigger, Eeyore, Pooh and Piglet in there Halloween Costumes!
Monday 28th October 2002 Day Five
We got a Mears Shuttle to Islands of Adventure today only $12 return. We also had too exchange our vouchers for the Power Pass only $99 for a year, so they will include next years holiday too!
There were no waits at all so we did Hulk and Dr Doom my favourites, followed by Spiderman. Next was the water rides lets get them both out of the way. We did Dudley Falls and Bill Barges and came off absolutely drenched, my trainers were squeaking! I do enjoy them but you get soooo wet. We did Jurassic and got a wet bum followed by Duelling Dragons fire and Ice, these were great. After doing Hulk and Spiderman again we exited the park for lunch at the Hard Rock Café using the Privilege card. We went to the bus stop for our shuttle back and there were some guys giving out free Pringles (snack size tubs) They must have been bored because they kept coming back to us and giving us more we ended up with 15!!! We ended up taking them to the park for snacks.
We had a little rest in the resort before we walked over to EPCOT. We had the obvious guiness in the Rose and Crown. I picked up some Disney Club pins and more Halloween pins. We had a nighttime picture taken in front of Spaceship Earth. We wondered slowly around world showcase and watched Mary Wilson from Sister Sledge who was doing the Eat to the Beat concert for the Food and Wine Festival. We found a great spot for Illuminations down by the bridge for International Gateway. After this we walked back to the Boardwalk and picked up a pizza at the Spoodles take out window for back in our room with a couple of bottles of Bud.
