kayaks or canoes

Any canoes or kayaks available to rent at the resorts. Think it would be cool to paddle around 7 Seas Lagoon or anywhere else for that matter. Don't really like the motorized or pedal boats. Whats a pontoon? I've seen those mentioned.

I know you can get canoes at Fort Wilderness for use on the waterways in the campgrounds, but I'm not sure about the other resorts. I've never seen them on the Seven Seas lagoon, so I don't think they are available. I know they used to have little sail boats for rent at the Poly, but I don't know if they still do or not. The Water Mice (the little bitty motorized boats) are LOTS of fun, though! I didn't think I would enjoy them that much, but I fell in love with them when we rented them from the Wilderness Lodge last time. A pontoon boat is a big, flat boat that floats on pontoons. They are motorized. They don't have much speed, though. They can hold a lot of people for a nice little cruise around, if that is what you are looking for.

Several years ago my DH asnd DS rented a canoe at POR. I have never seen Kyaks but I would think that you could call and ask WL if they have anything like it to rent at the boast rental there. To me it would make sent to rent them at thaat resort.

There were canoes, kayaks (I think) and paddle boats at Ft. Wilderness this past May but due to the low water levels you could only use them at the little "lake" area and not the canals. It was a pretty small area so definitely not worth it there when water levels are low.

Water mice and pontoon boats are definitely lots of fun, esp. on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake!!

Water Sports:
