We're going to Hawaii next month and would like to do some kayaking. I'm curious if anyone has done this on Kauai or the Big Island and if you have any recommendations. My DH and I will be travelling with our DS19 and DS11. Also, has anyone done Flumin' Da Ditch. I have read so many mixed reviews of it. I've read that it is so much fun and then I have also read that it is very touristy and boring. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Ah, Flumin' da Ditch. IMO, a couple hours of algae lined cement walls is a couple hours too long. But that's just me. :teeth:

We stick to coast side kayaking on the Big Island. Kealakekua Bay is great for kayaking, don't forget your mask and snorkel. Kona Boys does an overnight Kayak trip down the coast that is really fun. Also, find someone to take you out on a night trip to the Manta Dive area. I don't know which operator does it, but I usually see kayaks when we do the dive. It's the coolest. :thumbsup2
