Kayaking at Fort Wilderness

Can anyone tell me if there's someone available at FW to sort of tell a kayaking novice the basics when you rent a kayak at FW? Thanks!

I haven't seen any Kayak's for rent at WDW. Most people rent the little water mice.

They have them at Fort Wilderness for sure. They have kayaks and canoes for rent. I just wasn't sure if they will give you a quick lesson to show you the basics.

My DH and I went canoeing a couple years ago,it was the first time we were ever in a canoe. The FW guy gave us brief instructions prior to getting into the canoe ( which was atrip in itself).i' m sure they will give you some type of instructions. I have to say we had a blast, laughed ourselves silly.Oh also watch out for alligators! Seriously.

They have canoes that you can only use in the canals there, but have never had kayaks.
