Katy is very, very pretty. I think she looks a little like Snow White.

It is amazing that she sings these saucy tunes about kissing a girl and so on, yet she seems to be a very nice person. After her TODAY appearance, she got to meet a lot of the fans in the 30 Rock crowd and signed autographs and posed for pictures with them. Before the show, she even donated pillows and blankets for the some of the fans who were camping out. Katy is really and truly devoted to her fans.

As for my affection for her, it came gradually. When I first heard the phrase "I kissed a girl and I liked it", it seemed a little comical to me. Then I saw a copy of Katy's CD "One of the Boys" at the library, and I took it out. Yeah, Katy was cute alright. Although I don't like most contemporary pop music(I like big bands, standard pop and classical the best), I thought Katy's material was above average. My favorite song of hers is "Thinking of You"....it really gets to me.

I haven't picked up her new CD, "Teenage Dream", yet. I did listen on the net to the title cut as well as "California Gurls", and they are real corkers.....although I think they could have done away with Snoop Dogg's rapping on the latter. I also think that Katy should have covered herself up for the cover of the album, as well as the music video of "California Gurls". A lot of her fans are young folks, as evidenced during her TODAY appearance.

Nevertheless, Katy is talented and adorable, and I wish her continued success.
