Kate Gosslin is the mother from hell but MJ was a good Daddy??

I have been reading the hate and venom against Kate for months on here. She is practically accused of being an unfit mother. Every allegation under the son has been thrown her way that the tabloids have reported.

Now we have MJ with full time round the clock nannies, a nearly 50k a month prescription habit, sleepovers with kids not his own, admitting sharing a bed with children not his own is the most loving thing to do. Changing his appearane to something I can't even put into words yet people spend months disecting weather Kate had a **** job or not. But MJ was a great daddy, his kids loved him on and on and on.

This Dis has clearly gone over the edge for real this time. The insanity of the last election and the aftermath is starting to become clear to me. More then half the people that post here are one taco short of a combination.

It's easy you see because we as as society have different standards for mothers and fathers and men and women. If a man is barely involved in his kids lives, earns a living and doesn't abuse his kids then he is a "good dad" as compared to if a mom did those same things she would be "unfit"........Until we judge men and women equally this will always be a problem.

Let's put it this way, if Kate Gosselin were to drop dead today, then she would be the Mother of The Century.

When MJ was alive, there was no media outlet in the world that had him pegged as a good daddy. Look at how they were all over the video of him hanging Blanket off the balcony. Death has a way of changing a person.

Now, I saw some of the video snipets of his memorial, and watching that little girl on stage talk about what a great daddy she had...I guess that's all that matters. If those kids felt he was a great daddy, then I guess he was.

If you have toddlers sleeping over your house that are not your own, then they are family members, or children of very close friends.

MJ had older children sleeping over. If my child slept at your house, and you had them in your bed "cuddling" with them, I would be more than concerned. But that's just me.

If I remember correctly, it was not toddlers he was "sharing" his bed with -- I believe the boys were pre-adolescents, maybe 8-10 years old? When's the last time you shared your bed with several different little girls that age and then said "it was the most loving thing a person can do"? AFWIW, yeah, I love giggling toddlers in my bed and also share a bed at times with DD12 but it's just not the same.

I'm also in the minority here ~ this man was most likely mentally ill and a drug addict and certainly had not worked his way through the developmental stages that psychologists for years have agreed are necessary to becoming a productive adult in our society.

Is he a pedophile? Well, a whole lot of accusations have been brought forward but who knows for sure? Only the boys. Either way, there is nothing normal about hanging your child over a banister, making them wear masks, marrying your derm's secretary who has absolutely nothing in common with you except for a need/want of your money, I could go on and on and on.

I agree it appears he loved his children and vice versa but that doesn't make hm a great father Some of the most severely abused children (mentally and physically) love their parents.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I have an 11 year old DD if she goes to spend the night at a friends house and the mom says she can sleep in her bed and cuddle the cops are going to have to get involved to protect the other mother.

Ans if Michaeil did not have round the clock nannies LORD. How many drugs do you think nearly 50 grand a month buys? Would you think it is cool to have someone that loaded up in charge of 3 kids that age??

I don't keep that close of tabs on Kate and Jon but I have never heard of either one of them being to out of it to take care of the kids. I have heard of MULTIPLE reports of MJ being unable to take care of himself. During his trial he was having people dressing him for court. Do you really think he was giving the nannies the afternoon off???

Im sure he loved them in his own way. But the truth is he was a drug addict and not a minor one. One that paid obscene amounts of money and created a lifestyle with round the clock "doctors" tending to his every addict need.

He has basically left his kids in the lurch. Never legally adopting them and now exposing them to the trauma of what might be ugly custody battles. Possibly being ripped from the only family they knew. He left them in this position because he basically killed himself and ignored any and all help that apparently was being offered to him. In this , ironically, he left them for the media to feed off. The same thing he supposedly hated in his life. He created this situation , no one else did.

That to me is NOT a good parent. He was a sick troubled man. He created these children to try and fill some kind of void in his life and truly has not left them in a good position due to his selfish needs. I feel sorry for him and for those precious children. He was a great entertainer and for me, a talented musical genius. But to laud him as a great father, I don't think so.

None of us are perfect, I know I'm not. But some real perspective is missing in a lot of these threads, just because he was a great entertainer and people felt sorry for him. My opinion of course, but if people can make good judgments and judge favorably, certainly then, there should be room for other judgments as well.

Kate is a Phony, that has come out in the past few years of the show. Getting freebes at every chance, a prima donna, and most likely the most hated women in america.

Michael Jackson was a child who did not want to grow up. If he survived he would have discarded his children as he discarded anyone else who grew up around him.

He was genius in his 20's and early 30's, after that he was a werdio. If it wasn't for his star status he would have been on Megan's List in the State of California.

Deborah Rowe says they were her request, the Michael was proud of his kids and would have "showed them off", but she wanted them to be unrecognizable. (she said in an interview).

He loved his kids, and treated them well from all that we can tell. He was a good Dad if that is true.

I think alot of parents are gulity of trying to keep there kids babies as long as they can.

I've been in neither of their homes. I don't like Kate, because she seems like a hard "word I cannot say on here." She treats those around her like crap. I don't know how good of a mother she is, but it ticked me off when she denied her daughter water and then drank right in front of her.

As far as Michael Jackson goes, I can only take his daughter's word for it. As far as the drug use goes, I'm sure that anethesia is expensive and if he were addicted to it, even if only for sleeping, it would be very costly. Maybe he did only use it at night and was functual for the children? Normally I'd say that was neglect because how can you be there for your child if you're out of it, but apparently he hired a full time nanny. Or maybe he was stoned all the time, I don't know.

Kate Gosselin is no saint but she is hardly an unfit parent. I think people rip others apart to make themselves feel better about who they are and how they parent. Remember JR high?

There is some sort of saying about the cemetary is full of saints. People try to remember the good about the dead and not the bad. We do not know for a fact how bad MJ was. God knows and MJ will answer to that ultimate judge.
