I hope it does not take an hour to pick us up at LAX -- email they sent says 5-30 min depending on airport, traffic, etc -- fingers crossed I'd like not to wait an hour with a 4 year old

On the other hand, waiting a bit longer would be more than balanced out by the extra discount that Karmel was kind enough to extend.
Gasoline is so high right now, that I am surprised that any kind of discount is given at this time, with certain exceptions, like a large group rate.

We have Karmel shuttles booked in October for our transport fom LAX To HoJo's after arriving from Australia.......what do we do about car seats for our 2 and 5 year olds? Does anyone know if the shuttle service can supply them if we tell them in advance?? Thanks in advance

Karmel, like many shuttle services, do not provide car seats.

Really? their website quote price is $52 round trip without any code and when I called she said it was $52 round trip and I didn't tell her i had a code (from the site you provided) -- nothing on the website nor the call person said the standard rate is actually higher and $52 was an already discounted rate.

It wasn't until I asked further that they tune changed and the real rate was higher and if you are going to advertise a coupon but not honor it for certain routes then you should say that on the coupon.

But the call person I spoke to was very nice and was able to work it out for me and I thanked her for that – but that shouldn’t mean I should wait longer b/c I inquired further to a discount they were advertising!

If all goes well I will use them on our future trips down to DL instead of the DL Express

Right, and the company told you that it was already discounted and that is the reason why it was not being applied.
Regarding wait time, my reference is with regards to perspective.
When a company does not have to give an additional discount, especially for an already great rate, they are being very generous indeed, in my opinion. One can only expect to receive so much of a discount, before a company begins to lose money.

Hoping this will be a good experience, I booked Karmel for the first time ever, we normally take Super Shuttle, but Karmel has a 15% off promo going on right now for the next couple of weeks, even if we are not going until November. We are doing sort of an unusual trip, going from SNA to Huntington Beach for the first 3 nights, then head to Disney for 5 nights, then on to Vegas. They will charge a $10 stop fee when we head back to Disney to p/u our son from the hotel that his sister & her boyfriend are staying at. They are flying down together, we will meet them when we end our HB vacation.

I'm wondering if we should just cab it instead. The cab company (Yellow) quoted me between $30-40. What would you do?

Is this different from the $8 discount a lot of people have talked about above? If so, do you know the code? I looked on their website and nothing jumped out at me as a discount.
