Day 4—Monday, October 25, 2004

Leah and I headed over to Disney MGM Studios when we woke up this morning. We immediately went to grab Fast Passes for the Rock ‘N Roller Coaster, and then rode the Tower of Terror. The Tower of Terror is my second favorite ride (after Splash Mountain). I love the drop sequences and the special effects. It’s so much fun! I can’t get enough of this one. We then headed over to the Rock ‘N Roller Coaster. Leah just went to the preshow, as she had never saw it before, and went out the chicken exit after seeing the vehicles take off.

When I got off the Rock ‘N Roller Coaster, we headed back to the Tower of Terror to find that the line had grown to 35 minutes. We decided to grab Fast Passes and return later. We then headed to the Backlot Tour, and Star Tours before heading back to the Tower of Terror. After the Tower of Terror, we grabbed more Fast Passes for the Rock ‘N Roller Coaster so I could get two more rides in.

We then went to the ABC Commissary for lunch. I was using a voucher, so I got a Cuban Sandwich, chocolate mousse, and a diet coke. The Cuban Sandwich was very tasty, but a bit on the dry side.

After lunch, it was time for me to go on the Rock ‘N Roller Coaster. Leah decided to do some more shopping while I road the Rock ‘N Roller Coaster twice. We agreed to meet for the 1:45 show of Beauty and the Beast. The Beauty and the Beast show is very entertaining, but something I only do once every few trips. I did enjoy it, though.

After Beauty and the Beast, we went on Tower of Terror again. We then headed out of the park. We decided to walk to the Boardwalk. We browsed around in the shops, and I showed Leah the pictures in front of Jellyrolls, showing her how much fun she could have if she came to the bar with me.

We then walked over to Epcot. We browsed around the shops for a bit, and headed to the monorail to the Ticket & Transportation Center. I had my second random DIS sighting of the trip. A DISer named TEK(with some numbers at the end) got in line for the monorail behind us, and we chatted throughout the monorail ride.

When we got to the Ticket and Transportation Center, Leah and I walked to the Polynesian, where we had a priority seating at the Kona Café. Kona is one of my favorite restaurants at Disney, so I was looking forward to this meal. We started out with an order of Sticky Wings. They were very tasty, although not as sticky as they usually are. I ordered Beef Teriyaki with Mashed Potatoes, and Leah got a noodle dish with chicken and shrimp. My steak was excellent, although it was a bit fatty in parts. The mashed potatoes were awesome. Leah really enjoyed her meal as well.

After dinner, I decided to head back to Pop for a swim. Leah opted to browse around the Polynesian shops, and head to the Magic Kingdom. I met Travelin’Tigger at the pool. While we were swimming a little boy was afraid to get into the pool. He had slipped on his way to the pool and scrapped his knee. He told his uncle that it would burn and bleed if he went in the water, and then he told me to come look at his boo boo. When I walked over to him, he wouldn’t let me look at his knee, and he said it would bleed. He finally let me look at his knee, and I said, “It’s not bleeding. You’re fine. I bet it will feel better if you get in the water.” He stepped into the water, and he said, “It does feel better.” He was so adorable.

After our swim, I went back to the room to relax for a while before heading to bed around 11:00.

Your interactions with the little boy at the parade (day 3) and the little boy at the pool made me smile :). It is so nice to hear about sweet kids like that and kind grown-ups like you.

Thanks, Karen. I can't wait to hear more ::yes::.

Great report ~ Thanx for sharing.
