Kaneohe Sandbar Recommendations

We are looking for recommendations for the best options to see/experience the Kaneohe Sandbar. Specific tour company names or rentals and times/lengths and what to do while out there are appreciated.

We are also staying at Aulani this summer for the first time. I'm really interested in visiting the Kaneohe Sandbar and I found two companies that provide tours:

Captain Bob's Picnic Sail
Captain Bruce's Turtle Watching & Snorkeling Tour

They seem to be basically the same tour - a boat takes you out to the sandbar as well a second location for snorkeling/turtle watching (3-4 hrs total). The main difference I found was Captain Bob provides a BBQ lunch (so it's a little more expensive). We have not taken either tour so I can't speak to personal experience, this is just what I found when researching for our trip. We ended up booking Captain Bob because we like the included lunch. Both companies seem to have good reviews online. I didn't find much about the sandbar on the DIS boards so maybe it's not a super common excursion?? Looks fun to me!

Loved our trip to the Kaneohe Sandbar last year. This area is absolutely gorgeous!! We are booked with Captain Bruce again this June. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Captain Bruce provides a low frills affordable experience. During the excursion the crew provided light snacks, cold drinks, paddle boards and floating devices. Can’t wait to go back!
