Kali River Rapids height requirement

Can anyone tell me without any uncertainty what the height requirement is for Kali River Rapids. I have seen it printed as both 38" and 42", which is a big difference. Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure, but I think it is 40". Anyway, it's definitely not 42 because my son went on it last year when he was three and he just made 40 inches. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I got that information from two different guide books but I am glad to know it is 40" and not 42". I have a DS that will be 3 turning 4 on our trip. How did your DS take this ride. Did he get upset getting so wet? Thanks for any tips!

According to Birnbaums its 38. My DS went on it in Dec and I dont think he has hit 40 inches yet(we are hoping for our July trip, LOL! ).

The last time I went with my niece (dec/jan 04), she was 36-38. The CM at the front put on her a wristband and when getting in the raft the other CM lowered a bar so she could hold on to. She hated/loved the ride. Didn't get that wet since she had a poncho on, but my other niece that refused to get her poncho on got soaked.

Kids who are on the lower margin of the limit (wristbands) have to sit in the special kid-seats on each raft; there is an extra safety bar on those seats. The CM loading will direct you to them.

I recommend ponchos for young first-timers; the water hits pretty hard, and the poncho buffers that effect a bit. DS loves these rides now, but the first few times that water really shocked him.

We just returned with our 4-year-old, and It is DEFINITELY 38" ... with a special seat requirement, or 42" for any seat on the raft.

They have a modified seat on some of the rafts that will accommodate a small child. The seat has an over the head bar restraint that ensures the young child will remain in the seat during the ride. Therefore, only one small child may ride in any single raft. Parties with 2 children under the 42" inch limit (but over 38") will need to split into 2 rafts.
