Steve gave me a Keurig coffee maker as an early Christmas present because I REALLY wanted one. And I really don't care for the Gloria Jean hazelnut coffee and I'm not so fond of the hot chocolate. HELP! Is there another brand of K-Cups that taste better?

There are hundreds of different kinds. Just Google.

What Coffee do you like? What have you been buying before this?

There are dozens and dozens of different varieties of Kcups you can buy everything from breakfast blend decaf to extra bold dark expresso roast, even teas, hot chocolates, hot cider, etc.

My personal favorites are the Green Mountain Breakfast Blend and Nantucket Blend.

An option you might not have considered: you can buy a thing called "MyKCup" which is a filter basket insert you can put your own coffee in (no more buying kcups!).

I mostly drink hazelnut coffee, buth this Gloria Jean Hazelnut is gross. I will Google to see what other brand hazelnut I will be able to get.

Chocolate Glazed Donut is my new favorite!

I like the Timothys brand. Caramel Vanilla Nut...mmmm...

When I first got my machine, I ordered several "sampler packs" Then I kept a note sheet of which ones I liked. (I'm a little type-a though!:rolleyes1)

There are so many varieties. I think you can even get Folger's now.

I want Community Coffee and then I will be happy.

Sam's Club sells an 80 pack of Carribou coffee K-Cups for $30-something. It's a pretty good price coming out to be about .40 a piece. I'm not a coffee drinker though, so I can't tell you how they are. I bought my DH a Keurig for Christmas and can't wait to give it to him!

I didn't know that. That was my main reason for NOT buying DH one of these machines. Its just so expensive to buy the K-cups. Perhaps I'll look into it now.

He has a pod type machine, and I make the pods ahead of time using small coffee filters and Dunkin Donuts coffee.

There are over 200 varieties of k-cups...keep looking you will find one you like!

My personal favorites are Tully's Kona blend and Caribou. Both are more of a medium strength...I really don't like the dark/bold coffees. I have heard that the spiced apple cider k-cups are really good too.

And like another poster suggested, you can buy a My K-Cup filter which allows you to brew any of your own coffee as well.

Green Mountain Hazelnut is good!

My favorites are Donut Shop and Caribou, and I sometimes drink Green Mountain hazelnut and Kahlua. I like medium blends ~ can't handle those bold K-cups!

I ended up just buying the filter and making coffee from grounds. Saves a TON of money and u probably know whick brand of grounds you already like.

I love flavored coffees, but HATE hazelnut.

Gloria Jeans sells a good variety pack of flavors on Amazon-Butter Toffee, Mudslide, French Vanilla and Swiss Chocolate Almond. This works out great for me and DH, because he gets all the Mudslide and I get all the French Vanilla. (good price and if you sign up for automatic replenishment at 2,3 or 6 months, you get free shipping, too)

We have a local coffee company (well, two if I get off my butt and drive 40 miles) that makes wonderful coffees and our MyKCup gets a workout on those, too.

This time of year, I've been using the Celestial Seasonings 'Sweet Tea with Lemon" Iced tea K cup and just having it hot. Saves me putting the lemon in my tea.

As a previous poster mentioned, we like the medium roasts and have Tully's Kona (much better than the Coffee People's blend), Breakfast Blend, Donut Shop Coffee and Nantucket Blend.

BelleRocks, we have a spreadsheet going, too. Didn't like Jet Fuel (too strong) and decided to focus on medium roasts. Last year was the Christmas of the Keurig for friends and family. We dragged ours on vacation with us and hooked a couple of people on it! My phone was ringing off the hook in early December asking for information on the model and the coffees we had brought along with us :lmao:

As a non-coffee drinker (and someone with an aversion to coffee in general), I just want everyone to know that coffee is NOT the first thing I think of when I see posts with "K Cups" in the title. My reaction is almost always to wrinkle up my forehead and think to myself "what the heck?!"

:rotfl:

::yes:::thumbsup2
My in-laws sent me a check for Christmas yesterday, and I ran right out and bought the new Cuisinart single serve machine that uses K-cups. I love it! I tried the Donut Shop coffee, and it was really good. But, I do REALLY want Community Coffee to make some, because that stuff is the best!

Ok, I'm curious about Community coffee, as we don't have them here.

What kind of roasts do they have, and if they do medium, which ones would you fans recommend?

I keep nagging the local chain to make K-cups, even though I buy a pound and use the My K-Cup for it. But if you ever see Indigo Indulgence as a k-cup, try it. It's such a smooth roast that I've even skipped sugar (which NEVER happens)
