I'm planning a trip for late April and considering staying at the new JW Marriott Bonnet Creek. Has anyone stayed there that can give a review? I'm mostly concerned about the pool, dining options, and general quality of the grounds.

The other option would be Swan & Dolphin, which has obvious benefits like location, but is lacking in some other areas.

Any help here would be appreciated!

I haven't stayed there yet but will be in April. A girlfriend of mine stayed last month for a couple of nights and LOVED it so we chose that for the last few nights of our trip. She said Sea and Sear (signature dinner)as well as Unreserved Food Bazaar (breakfast) had great food and good service. So I am looking forward to it for sure!

If you are a Bonvoy Member, look at their "Member Rate JW Getaway Package" for your dates as it includes valet parking plus a $25 per day resort credit.

The hotel has been open less than a year so everything is in good shape. Most of their dining is open, the pool is open as are cabana rentals, and according to Marriot's list, most of the other activities are running (at least on the weekends)

Here's a list from their website as to what's open: https://whattoexpect.marriott.com/mcojb

Thanks! We're using Marriott points - which is why we're limiting the options to the JW or S&D. It's a tough call as the JW does look nice and seems to be very well reviewed...but the location at the S&D is just so hard to pass up.

I totally hear you on using your points (we're working on status for the year so the goal is nights for me!) And you're right on location - to be able to walk to 2 parks is a big draw. Their food is good and you have easy access to the Boardwalk and Yacht and Beach Club, too.

The drawback for me on the Swan/Dolphin are some of the latest comments about construction noise around the pool and the rooms not in great condition in this thread https://www.disboards.com/threads/w...esorts-information-questions.3264274/page-659

I stayed there recently by myself and the construction was not an issue in terms of noise, but you do see it going on and the walkway leading to the pool from the Swan is detoured (not a real inconvenience).

Agreed on the rooms, it's just a standard hotel room so the expectation has to be set going in.

Are you on Instagram @Duke07 ? There is a couple staying at the JW that are putting details of the resort in their Instagram Stories - yesterday they shared the breakfast buffet (laid out like a buffet but all the food is served to you rather than self-sever)

Thanks! We opted for the S&D - the location was just too hard to turn down this time, but I'm sure we'll try the JW at some point too.
