I've never planned on going to WDW during Easter week so I've never really paid much attention to threads discussing availability. However, my DH, who is a band director is planning a trip to WDW with his band for Spring Break 2010 - which just happens to fall the week after Easter. The whole family will probably go as DD16 is in his band and the rest of us wouldn't want to miss that. The band will be staying off site, but I'm thinking of booking a studio for me and our two other kids so we can stay on property. (Go ahead, call me spoiled!!!!) We'll book a studio for our home resort at the 11 mo. to insure we get something, but I would like to switch to OKW at 7 mos. to use less points. We're saving up points for a large family trip in Summer 2010 and we need all we can get. So finally, the question..... Will it be impossible to switch at 7 months to a resort using less points?

I don't think it will be impossible at all.

But I do recommend calling as soon as your 7 month window opens. The weeks surrounding Easter end to fill fairly quickly.
