I want to do the 2nd semester Freshman CP in 2011(if they still have. Crossing my fingers they do!) and will most likely end up under the Hospitality/Tourism department since that will be my major in college(and minoring in French so watch out DLRP! lol). Anyone who's done it, want to tell me anything about it?

Hi there. I have done 3 programs (and hope to do a 4th this summer). The CP is a great experience. There is something for everyone. If you have any questions, I can try to answer them.:)

Hi!!
I did my program during the 2nd semester of my freshman year. It was a big confidence boost for me, and i learned how to be more independent and outgoing. I learned so much about life while in the program. I think it was the best move i made for myself! :) i think that what you learn on the program, you will not learn by just reading a book. it's a hands-on experience.
Just don't get too caught up in Disney like I have. I don't have the urge to be in school anymore... I know it is sad, but i won't lie. I liked the program so much, i didn't want to leave, and now i am paying a price on my stress levels and such b/c i am not as happy as i was while on the program. It has taken an emotional toll on me

so there are some pros and cons, but I would say go for it! it helped me build a structure to the next step in my life, and it may help for you too!

Ooh that's cool. I'll probably end up in the same situation as you, Katy0708, since when I go somewhere I like, I get all wound up about leaving and want to return ASAP. Eh.
But has anyone ever done the CP under the hospitality/management section? What kind of jobs are available and anything good?

I haven't personally, but hospitality roles include working at the resorts.
