Just wondering. How does DCL help Celbrate a Birthday?

I am thinking of changing my cruise this Dec to a Disney one with just me and my DD. To make my time with her even more enjoyable. What will DCL do to help with a B-day?

Anything you're willing to pay them to do, I presume.

They'll bring a cake to the table, sing, etc. You can also have the room decorated and have things delivered.

On top of that, I'm serious -- if you will pay for it, they will do it!

To have DCL decorate your cabin it will cost you.....to have a cake delivered to dining table will not cost you anything.....we have celebrated many birthdays onboard....we always have had a cake brought out to the table and sometimes they even give a Birthday Pin to the B'day person. To have DCL decorate your cabin you can contact them to set it up or check out www.disneycruise.com and find into there.

Here is a link to the B'day cake.......that Mickey is edible...I was trying to see what it was made of and moved it..... the cakes are generic and not personalized.

Make sure you let DCL reservations know you are celebrating a b'day....it will then be noted on your ressie.

The pin is debatable....we've done 8 DCL birthdays, and never gotten a pin. It seems that they come and go, and they hand them out when in stock. The cake and singing is standard. On our last cruise, I brought my own decorations for the room and door and put them up myself on the birthday. If you buy them from DCL, they are up when you board, but of course, you don't have to put them up. DD was turning 13, and I wanted to embarrass her to death (hee hee).

We did send the leftover cake to The Stack, where I understand it was a big hit.

Your b-day girl can get a pin at Magic Kingdom.

We just found out that the day we go to MK we can head over to Town Hall and notify them of the b-day and the kids will get a pin and have Happy Birthday sung to them.

We were also told that whenever a CM in the park notices the pin they will also sing Happy Birthday and maybe even give more pins.

What better way is there to turn 5?
