So, for MK I do have a touring plan that we will follow depending how the day and times are going. For Epcot, I had a touring plan but now I'm really starting to thin that we are going to just start with fp+ with mission space, test track and spaceship earth and if we accomplish that before 11 am go to Innovations. And then start at Mexico and make our way through all the world show cases at just make sure to be at our ADR at garden grill by 5:45 pm. After Garden Grill finish up the rest of the attractions like nemo etc..

Is it okay to wing it and start from one country and go around or are we going to lose a lot of time?

Epcot is perfect for winging it. As long as you have your FP+ scheduled for Soarin or TT, you're all set. Personally, I would try to get to the park early, and hit Soarin standby right when the park opens. That way you'll have done both headliners by 11am (since you have FP+ for TT) and you're free to explore after that.

If we wing it will we miss photo op's with certain characters in different countries?

Winging it usually works at Epcot especially for World Showcase. Agree that getting to the park early and if possible finishing up the headliners is important. Don't forget though about how hot it can get walking World Showcase in the heat of the day. We always split it up and catch the boat back across the lagoon and do some nice A/C rides like Ellen or Spaceship Earth or Nemo in the heat of the day.

I was going to ask regarding the month of July... if we do the shows in the Pavilions will that help us cool off before heading over to the next Pavilion?

It can help. But not all pavilions have indoor "shows". Norway, Japan, Italy, Germany, Morocco and UK don't.

Other than a FP for soarin we always wing it at Epcot, most of the time don't even get ADRs in advance, just go to customer service over by spaceship earth the morning we are there and say what ya got and go with it. Actually, we pretty much wing it in every park with usually just one FP that matters in each. In HS it's TSM, in AK it's Everest and in MK, well we just wing it there too with no FP. Three adults who have been to Disney over 20 times so we've learned to just go with the flow and enjoy.

Since the OP has an ADR for GG at 5:45, I'd recommend rope dropping test track and having a FP+ for Soarin' at either 5-6 or 7-8 to coincide with the GG ADR.

I think Epcot is fine for winging it. With the exception of a few attractions in Future World, we more or less wing it every time. :)

Yes, thank you I did forget to mention that I also have a fp/rider swap for soarin after dinner at 7pm. We are going to RD Spaceship Earth as touring plans shows a five minute wait. Thank you everybody. This makes me feel better knowing that we can take our time with no real time restrictions. We love to travel around the world so I have a feeling we will really like to walk through and take our time at the world showcase with our girls.

That would work great too.

Ah, I remember our rider swap days fondly. :) :D Really helps with FP's.

Epcot is probably the best park for winging it. Especially in the World Showcase.

If you plan to ride Test Track, I strongly urge you to rope drop it and go to SE after that. Have a great trip!!!

Epcot is perfect for this.........as others have said. The only issue we've ever had, and I'm not complaining........really :P Is we normally take an afternoon break. To do the wing it scenario I feel like you have to be there are RD to catch the popular rides (which there is no guarentee).....then eat lunch and off to the World Showcase. Now that can turn into a very long day........especially when drinking a bit . If you're at BWI or BC/YC you could fit in that break I like but..........depending on park hours you may miss a country or two.

But...........really this is my issue..............o_O LOL!!!:D

The only time we had a plan for Epcot was an ADR's for The Coral Reef, even when we ate in the WS we just picked a place and ate. Some of my favorite memories were when our children where little they would fall asleep in the stroller and my DW and I would stroll the WS with an adult beverage all the while they were sound asleep.
