Just whining ... UY 2012: My year of cancellations

Well, UY 2012 may go down as the fewest nights booked using my DVC points. So far I've cancelled a week in a Treehouse Villa (Dec 2012); 4 nights at Kidani (May 2013); and 4 nights at Aulani (April 2013). What's left? Just 3 nights at the Grand Californian (Feb 2013).

Sigh. Looks like I'll be banking a bunch of points into UY 2013!

Pushing past the whining, I'm very thankful:
a) that DVC allows for the cancellations;
b) that the online reservation system has been lots of fun to play with;
c) that the online reservation system has handled my cancellations correctly;
d) that I can still bank these points!

Easy come, easy go!

Thanks, Bobbi! Work is doing its darnedest to keep me from my getaways! The GC is just a 3 night stay, for our anniversary, over a weekend and don't you know my customer planted something in my path for the Saturday! Ugh. What a year ... glad to have a job (yada, yada, yada).

I had one of my few cancellations in 2012. I planned 7 nights at OKW in October with a bunch of friends for Food & Wine. In May I decided to buy a townhouse. So between time off work for the new place and getting the old place ready for sale, I decided to scale it back to 3 nights (Sat-Tues) so that I only missed 2 work days. When it got closer, I decided I had too much to do and cancelled the remaining nights. Killed me when my friends were posting what a great time they were having! I banked the points and have 3 trips this year (BLT March, VGC August, BWV Dec).
