Greetings Adventurers!

Well as everyone is very aware, it is time for the annual September Epcot Pin Event which is next weekend. Although Mean Laureen and I will not be able to attend this year, I still could not help myself and wanted to be involved. Therefore, I have searched long and hard for proxy adventurers who could run a few activities. So grab your adventure gear and let's have some fun!

No adventure is complete without meeting new and exciting people. And what better way to do that than with an annual Arizona Jeff walkabout? Rather than having passports, this year adventurers will be given a map (which can be found at Arizona Jeff's Handy Dandy Map Shop ). Each adventurer should print out the map and take a small pad of paper and either crayons or markers. Each time an adventurer trades a pin with someone, they should document who the trade was made with and where that person is from. The map should then be colored for the state or country where the person you are trading with lives. At the end of the event, the person who has the most states and countries colored wins. The maps should be colored and then posted to the boards when you return so that everyone can see how much world coverage you have.

Although Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen could not attend in person, they will be at the event. They have both literally lost their heads over pin events. Pictures of Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen's heads have been sent to Florida to attend the big pin bash. Mickey527 has been designated as the keeper of the heads. As always, Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen have a spirited little wager going to see who can be seen around the World but we need your help.

Activity 1 - Who Are These Guys and Why Do They Keep Showing Up?
In this adventure, you can check out either Arizona Jeff or Mean Laureen's head to see how many different places within Walt Disney World you can have their heads picture taken. Remember, flash photography is not allowed in some attractions. At the end of the pin event we will see who has been to more places around the World. Bonus points are awarded if our heads make it on stage during any show or if we get to ride in any of the parades.

Activity 2 - Can I have your Autograph?
During this adventure, the contest is to see who can have their picture taken with the most famous person. Adventurers will check out either Arizona Jeff or Mean Laureen's head and see if they can have the head's picture taken with someone famous. Once the picture is taken, bonus points are awarded for getting the back of our heads autographed by the famous person. Remember, characters are celebrities.

Also, please be sure to all gather together for a group photo and make sure that our heads can be seen.

Deep in the heart of the Arizona desert, there is an adventurer looking to do a little trading. Alas, his arch enemy Henry Mordecai has once again bested our hero leaving both him and Mean Laureen stranded. Being resourceful adventurers, Mean Laureen and Arizona Jeff are trying to work their way back to continue their adventure but they need your help. Arizona Jeff has sent two bottles of mystical dirt from near the vortex of Sedona. This red earth supposedly has magical powers. This is where you come in. Two teams will be created and each of them will be given a bottle of dirt. They must take this dirt and see what they can trade for it. For example, a team will take the dirt and approach a would-be trader and proclaim, "I have a bottle of dirt, can you top that?" They will then attempt to trade the dirt for another item (it cannot be money). In our example, let's say they found someone who would trade them a pen for the dirt. The team will then take the pin, give the other party the dirt and continue on finding someone else to trade with. This time they would proclaim, "I have a pen, can you top that?" at which point they will trade the pen for another item. The goal is to see which team will be able to trade for the best item after starting with a bottle of dirt. At the end of the game, the items will be sent back to Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen so that they can continue their adventure. Mickey527 and Figgy will be managing and documenting the progress of the two teams.

Although Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen cannot attend the pin event, their lanyards will. Proxy adventurers will be wearing our lanyards and trading on our behalf. Once again, Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen are having a little competition. We would like to see which lanyard will get the most trades. This works similar to other games we have played where there is a theme associated.

Mean Laureen has chosen to play for the letter "D". She wants to see how many pins she can get that have something to do with that letter. Her favorite of course is Dumbo and Disney Dogs but she wants to see how creative the adventurers can be.

Arizona Jeff has begun and adventure and is looking for help. Although the story is just beginning, the plot will soon uncover that he is on a quest for the bottlecap pins. He is looking for help from his proxy adventurers to see who can trade for the set of bottle caps. As is always the case with his adventurers, he would like to know a little about each person he trades with so that they can be included in the story line. Therefore, whenever someone trades for a bottlecap, they need to find out who the person is they traded with and some interesting fact about that person that Arizona Jeff will then have to incorporate into the story. The bottle cap pins must be traded for so it will be a challenge to find someone who has these rack pins for trade and to try and talk them out of one. Remember, the more people that you trade with to get the bottle cap pins the more people Arizona Jeff will have to incorporate into the story.

At the end of the event, the lanyard having the most items which conform to the lanyard them will be judged the winner.

Two things you forgot Jeff.
I have Mean Laureen's and Arizona Jeff's lanyards. Please look for me during the event and if you think you can make some of those trades then you are welcome to borrow the lanyards.
Also, about that dirt. Your line will be "I have a half bottle of dirt" I thought Jeff sent me really bad cinammon. YUCK!
One more thing, Jeff, what am I supposed to do with those tiger striped silk boxers and the black whip you sent?

Those are probably intended for Ed. :teeth:

Hey Jeff, that map is too big! Any suggestions? My computer will only print part of the map......

look forward to "seeing" you in WDW!

Sorry Jeff, it' still too big. Will only print about a quarter of it.
