I posted earlier about the whole screw-up with Dh's pay and how money is really tight right now with the move, etc. Anyway, I belong to another message board, and a member who actually I have met had posted an email, (she is a photgrapher) and did my wedding and engagement pics of which she has on her business cards). So I read the email and she wrote how she moved to the Atlanta area and had been 10 days and just gotten a job starting Mon. (today). Happy to know a familiar person in the area, I emailed her privately congratulating her on her new job, move, asked where she lived and mentioned us getting together. I just read her reply and she said she came from Mississippi with nothing, I think because of Katrina. She is staying in a roach infested shelter in a seedy side of town. She has no money and no car and got a job where she hopes to find an apartment. She said it take 3 hours one way to commute. Goodness gracious. I haven't replied or called (she gave her number) because I have no idea what to say. I know it certainly puts everything into perspective though. Even with DH pay troubles, thank God we will be able to pay the rent, and most of the bills. I will not complain about my situation anymore. This is a lesson for me, someone is worse off then we are.
Now on the other side, should I respond to her and how? We have spoken and emailed each other over the years but we are not more than aquaintances.
