Just when I thought I had the GAD upgrade figured out! Help!

We purposely booked a room only so we can upgrade our GAD. Well my husband wants us to add the DDP, so if I forgo the DDP for the first day of check in and go to the park and use my ticket then upgrade, can I then go back to my resort and add the DDP? I have no clue what to do...

This would not work. You must add the dining plan to your reservation 72 hours before check in. You can not add it after that.

You would have to buy a one day pass for everyone in the room to be able to get the dining plan. As the poster above stated you need to add it no later than 72hrs ahead of time. You could still use the GAD pass and upgrade it and then just save the one day pass for a future trip. HTH

Change to package with 1 day passes for everyone in party and add dining plan. Use GAD to upgrade the 1 day passes. Then she will credit for the price of the 2nd day (almost as much as the 1st day) -- as opposed to pre-purchasing a 5 or 6 day pass and getting the value of an additional day which is about $3.

It will nto work. By defiinition a ticket upgarde is taking one ticketing and adding cash (or credit card charge or similar) to the one ticket and ending up with one ticket which has more days and/or options. Two or more tickets annnot be combined.

The only exception to this is at the water parks, where you can take a water park one day ticket, take any MYW ticket which is upgradable, add the difference between the value of the one day water park ticket and the cost of the WPF&M option, and add WPF&M to the MYW ticket.
