Just wanted to share.

I never had an active Flickr photostream cause I never had the confidence to keep things up for others to look at unless I needed help editing or composing a shot properly. Really don't think my stuff is anywhere near as good as what I see here, but I know I've grown over the years so I just wanted to share some of my first pics from my new photostream. I'm a huge flower guy. My grandfather owned a landscaping business when I was a kid and my dad ran as a side job as my grandfather got older to make it easier on him. After my grandfather passed the business did also cause my father had his regular fulltime job at the courthouse. I kinda wish I was older at that time and I would have continued it vs the path I took, not that i'm not happy where I ended up! I just think I have alot of his genetic makeup in me when it comes to landscaping and his love for flowers that we both share. Alot of my photography centers around flowers cause every year I'm adding more and more color and layers to what I already have. Coneflowers are my favorite. Especially the new crazy hybrids that are out. I think I'm up to about 20 diff varieties at this point along with the multiple other species that I have throughout my gardens.

So I just wanted to share. Any comments are welcome cause I want to learn from every pic. Here are just a few of my favs right now. The rest are over at my photostream that I added at the bottom of this.

Thanks for sharing. What you posted looks really good.

The key is really to take everything said with a grain of salt. Criticism is meant to help people get better. Often times we get mad or angry over these things.

Its a great start and please post more as you take more pics.

Thanks! Oh don't worry I don't mind someone telling me what's wrong! I love learning!

Flowers I deff know. I prob know more than I need to! What's kind of cool about all the hybrids is that when they reseed they don't grow as the same flower they go back to the original mother plant in which they came from the Magnus. Well it's not cool because if you let them reseed then you end up with Magnus choking off the original plant and you lose what you originally planted. But it's kind of cool how it reverts back to where is came from.

My photo stream is under my sign. All of them are there. They start from when I first started shooting flowers. 4 years ago up to today. I deff see my growth over the years looking through them. Especially with how my tech has changed.

I was at aulani, middle September. we took a class taught by one of the photo pass people there. he said that he has being doing pro photographer for 13 years. the best advice he gave me, was take your camera out everyday and shoot different subjects. that's what I do everyday. just go out and shoot. they always say practice makes perfect. your photos are very good. so keep up the great work

I totally get where you are coming from with confidence for posting/sharing shots, but the funny thing is confidence comes quicker with just getting it out there than it does with actual experience. Very nice

thanks! Tonight I'm going to mess around with my new sigma and see I get anything interesting even though it's the end of the season.
